Ultrasonic Cleaner Repair

I usually repair big ultrasonic cleaner used in CSSD hospital. other than driver circuit, sometime the driver keep failing due to faulty transducer. I usually use 2 ways to test the transducer. 1st using capacitance tester ( make sure freq tester 25Khz & 40Khz) and the result should be within 0.004 uf range. 2nd is using Megger and set tester 2500Vdc after disconnect the transducer with driver. check for current leakage. 3rd & 4th check resonance using oscilloscope & Signal generator check for resonance freq.

It's a Royer Oscillator circuit, which ever power transistor has the higher gain starts the oscillation, the gate transformer is wired so one transistor turns the other one on, and hence itself off. Must be the season for dead Ultrasonic Cleaners, mine died to. I've replaced all the dead parts except one, but it cannot be fixed as something else died the postal service! Replacement transistor out of stock locally, at least another week before they have any to mail me, and the bigger Ultrasonic Cleaner is also stuck in a mail logjam.

Yes thanks mate, i'm in a little hurry to repair these cleaners and hadn't time to reverse engineer the circuit I hope you can repair your cleaner Thanks for your comment

does anyone know if there is a good adhesive for reattaching a transducer to the bottom of the tray? One of mine fell off.

nice vid.. i don't like that the brand did not use good wires and that it needs an electronic repair guy to have it perform how it should.

Running these without ( any ) liquid can wreck the transducer(s) I’m having trouble with a very nice one I bought very cheap.

It looks like the larger unit could fit the smaller unit inside, an ultrasonic cleaner ultrasonic cleaner of you will.
