Awesome video. Full of very good information for Jeep Wrangler back-up camera installation software. A video that everyone should watch. Works extremely well with all the recommended items. 5 stars for this one.

Probably the easiest video to understand. Thanks I’m thinking about switching from an xb12 to an 1125 just for the sheer power. What’s your opinion?

These electrolytic capacitors are what we call in the electronics world the cause of “planned obsolescence”. I’ve seen this same thing in garage door openers, home computer printers, car transmission computers. Yeah, they start to short out internally and the electrolyte fluid can leak out through the bottom into the board. They are often used in a circuit to filter out line noise, or to smooth out voltage fluctuations. They also function like a very small storage battery as they can be charged up with voltage and the energy released, so be careful on the very large ones as they can produce a very bad shock! Or burn! They were used in the flash units of single use film cameras to power the flash. To test them correctly and accurately you need to remove them from the circuit they are in. Then apply your tester or meter. To create planned obsolescence the design engineers will often use a cap that has a lower voltage rating than the circuit, e.g. a 6 volt cap in a 12 volt circuit. It eventually fries the cap! And the green colored caps are notoriously inferior quality- Samsung?

The ground on the fuel filler tube is there to prevent sparks. Connecting to the body doesn't protect anything.

Replacing all of my straps tomorrow. On my 88 3500 , the worst one to reach/remove is the one on the back of the passenger cylinder head. Also when removing the nuts and self tapping bolts spray them down with PB blaster or WD40 a day in advance to make them easier to break loose. Solid video , thanks for sharing!

i had a car internally flood and growing mushrooms thanks to blocked drains and not being used in the lockdowns. Scrapped it as a biohazard
@denisvermeirre102418 күн бұрын
Sunroof drains have always been a weakness of Volvos. 700 sunroof drains are the most reliable Volvo ever made. In 140s and 240s, the drain would run past the fuse panel. It the drainline was blocked, the drain would overflow into the fuses.
@OfficalYFG18 күн бұрын
This is why we heavily suggest you get the drain clean with a scheduled service.

The purple drain line can shrink over time and become disengaged from the sun roof tray drain. Volvo sells slightly longer ones than what came from factory. But yea, check your drains.

the ground strap under the fuel cap what does this one do exactly?
@robertnew456819 күн бұрын
I never saw a fuse with a 12 volt drop across it, UNLESS it was blown and OPEN! Should have been an easy fix!

cluster still lights up. but the area where it shows your fuel level is dim. which ground would be that?
@GwinnettLawns21 күн бұрын
The ground strap on the filler neck is to dissipate and electrical potential and prevent static electricity from igniting fuel vapor. You need to attach it to the neck as originally. You basically ran the strap from the body to the body which has done nothing.
