Very interesting. I was taking notes in a baby name book I have and I realize that the name Penda also has a meaning in Swahili. In Swahili, the name Penda is a girl name meaning “loved”❤

I think some families in Louisiana are descendants of Fulani and they have the surname Poulard and Senegal and many in their area are cattle men. They were enslaved by the French so many of them speak French and French Creole.

As Salaamu Alaikum Sulaiman U think, let's bring things like Prose or comprehension, explain them both surfacely and if there's a deeper meaning, you translate. Songs, story tell etc. If Allah spear your life, in the future, try and make catoons in fulfulde language. Ur Fulani is very similar to ours in Nigeria & i believe same as Cameron. It will help our kids. Hausa has consume our language due to several factors. May Allah spear your life with Sound Health & ability to continue what u are doing. Thanks so much

Legit question brother Sulemayne or any other Fulani people because I am American by nationality trying to relearn the language and culture: How do herdsmen deal with the predators like leopards,that may try to prey on the cattle? I don’t doubt that there are fires kept burning all night because herders and hunters world wide do that to keep them away. In America we deal with coyotes (used to be wolves in the past) attacking our cattle and horses. Just interested in how our cousins on the continent deal with their predation issues.
@LearnFulani2 ай бұрын
Spears and arrows were used to kills predators. Sometimes the predators can get away with a calf.

The greatest number of fulani is found in West Africa. Ghana, Nigeria, Niger, Cameroun & Guinea Conagry. But, Nigeria has the largest number of Fulanis. But currently, due to inter marriage with Hausa & Buzaye( Taorek), the name hausa Fulani was coined. In the 19 northern states, only 4 States u can make claim that Fulanis are not indigenous. The language is slowly dieing, Hausa taking over because of numerous reasons like Religion, Well or standard way of writing it, use by the main steam media & social media etc. It saddens my hrt. My dad is a complete Fulani man but my mum is Hausa. Am from Bauchi and my mum is an indigin of the state. Am a victim of inter marriage if am to say so. And we are much much in number in Northern Nigeria. Go to places like Sokoto, Katsina, Zamfara & Kebbi etc.I believe same for Niger & Ghana or Cameron. Let's not allow our identity die. We are proud Fulani. In Nigeria Let's have a standard way of writing. Any language that is not documented is subject to death at a point in life before the End time. I believe there is an End time. Bandirawo am, walwa na der Email am. Wallahi mi bèrni. Allah Lamidò Walla fulbē toh goni fuu.
