Forza ragazzi ❤

A nice reminder of what a great musician he was. I listened to his entire Tsar's Bride opera once and was bored to tears, but those arias are magnificent.

Truth be told: I've tried hard to search for the so-called "Benediction de Dieu" in this piece after listening to it seriously more than twice for the first time and kept going, more or less seriously, but in vain. Nothing has happened. I might suffer from tone deafness, or maybe Liszt himself was somehow too religious, but all I can get from it is that it is an elaborate cerebral yet esoteric piece of music, late romantic in style, which Liszt does fall into, in terms of the temporal continuation of classical music. Anyway, it's a good use for the development of later "new music" that includes the concept of atonality and impressionism, at least until his Bagatelle sans tonalité, that brought into practice by modern composers like Debussy, Ravel, and other contemporaries, that followed.

To the owner of *Musicanth:* The mood set by this music is beautiful, reverent, peaceful….until, *SUDDENLY, the crashingly loud, disgusting ad utterly destroys it, as it trumpets the advantages of a certain toilet paper on the human bum,* the softness and strength of which will surely be seen, if we would only buy it! _YOU_ didn’t perform in this recording, so there is *ZERO NEED* for monetizing this channel. I refuse to pay KZbin for the removal of these ads in orchestral and choral music when the musicians aren’t the ones making money from them!! I just add this channel to my “Do Not Listen” list.

Christmas is the day that the creator and sustainer of the universe, in whom we have our being, entered the fabric of time and the material world to become one of us. Not only one of us, but a human born into poverty and political oppression. This is the meanimg of the incarnation of Christ. He participated in our humanity in order that we may participate in the divine.
