Try to sell people a product as a luxury brand without any celebrity wearing it or using it in real life. Never going to happen. AI has its use within some tools in software but it won't be successful in creating emotional connection like Amanda mentioned in this video. Some people will have to learn that the hard way. That's just life. I'm a graphic designer and photographer and I would never use AI for commercial work.

What is that AI??? I searched everywhere but I can't find any AI can do this good product photography
@amandacampeanu5 күн бұрын
@@Clayden it’s using a combination of Midjourney and Photoshop. AI currently cannot replicate products. You either have to photographer or render it

I think like everything else, there is and will be a place and time for Ai use and not. The problem with these company's pushing its use as being faster and cheaper is kind of false advertising, the learning curve at first will be a huge time consumer, then having to either hire a advertisement person that is an expert in Ai won't save money in the long run, and lastly, just because the photographer uses Ai instead of real backgrounds or models doesn't mean that savings translates to the product company, he can still charge what he feels his work is worth.
@amandacampeanu6 күн бұрын
Totally agree. I refuse to believe it only takes minutes (as advertised) to create good AI product images. And like you said AI images still hold value to which the artists will charge for.

I equate AI to CGI. We've had CGI for a bunch of years now, and yet, photography is still around. I am super excited to see where those you keep chipping at AI, those who will by nature break away from making AI look like photography, but rather make AI look like AI.
@amandacampeanu6 күн бұрын
Agreed! I love this perspective. I think it will just become another medium of creativity rather than replacing photography altogether.

I would hate to see as a consumer a brand working with AI photos and videos 🥴 Not authentic, not trustworthy. I LOVE and adore everything HUMAN!!! And I’m not 100% against AI!! BUT as you described it’s about HUMAN, real life emotions and connections form all 3 sides (consumer, brand, photographer) 🫶🏻💯

I agree. I think brands will need to be very careful with their AI content and how it comes across.

I’ve just seen a photographer using AI to create a location and a model for a product shot. The photographer said that, like this, the brand saved money. You can clearly see that the picture was created with AI. No emotion at all to me. As you said, Amanda, we’ll see how the customers will react in the future. And thank you for this video ❤

Oh wow interesting! It's even worse when it's blatantly obvious that it's AI. I wonder how their customers will react.

Sadly most people don't give a crap about advertisements and how it suppose to connect with people. People in general are complete idiots...that's why photographers needs to think outside the box when it comes to product photography. AI will replace a lot of models and photographers in the future. Normal people are too stupid to recognize contrast, lighting, LUTs and so on. Why do you think most wedding photographers are charging an arm and a leg prices for complete blown out of exposure pictures?? Times are changing and the REAL Professional Photographers will still stay on top. The other IG/ YT yahoo photographers will fail.
@robertruffo21347 күн бұрын
You're missing the pint. you can knwo nothing about photography, as a consumer, and feel ick about an AI image and connected to the real one. It's not about LUTs (that high end pros don't really use anyway) or any other technical aspect. It's about the psychology of viewers.
@allnn25527 күн бұрын
@@robertruffo2134 you sound like someone who is never in marketing at all...people will buy anything as long as it's a commercial...if this was the case then we wouldn't have so many garbage Marvel or Netflix movies...people don't care...stop thinking people are smart...if people are smart they wouldn't be subscribing to idiot KZbin/ IG photographers. Amanda is only one of the few good photographers on youtube...

If you look around your house you can find all kinds of products that you can use to make a decent beginner portfolio with, and don't be afraid to call on friends and family to have them model the product. You can do this to level up your skills along with looking at actual product photography in ads and try and mimic the ads with what you have available to you at home. The more you shoot and challenge yourself, the better you will become in a short amount of time. But what you should NEVER do as a photographer in general, let alone as a product photographer looking to work with companies to shoot their product photography, is offering to do even one gig for free. As the Joker stated in the movie The Dark Knight Rises, "If you're good at something, never do it for free".
@amandacampeanuАй бұрын
All great advice on finding products to work with! I think when you're starting though and building your portfolio, collaborating with brands at no charge can be highly strategic as they may turn into paying clients. That's exactly how I got my first paying clients. As it also teaches you how to work with clients as well.
