I actually believe there's a good chance Tokimitsu was not in Shidou's stratum, and Shidou was the sole survivor from his team. I could totally see him pulling some Kuon shit and like intentionally throwing for his team and getting red-carded out of several games

Hey remember that volume extra that introduced the teams that cleared the second selection and people theorized it shows the order on who was picked. I know it doesn’t work for the 3rd and 7th team, but what if you just swapped Himizu with Yukimiya and Sokura with Reo? That way it makes sense so Himizu is the 3rd member while Yukimiya is the 5th. Karasu’s team would probably have a close match with Yukimiya’s which why they were ranked so high. This also shows that Niko, Hiiragi, Hiori, and Saramadara lost against Nanase, Endoji, Tsunzaki and Haiji.

In the last few days of the second selection days i think most of the teans were in a 2v2 situation and team 7 where in the 3v3 situation which wasnt as filled up and while they were in a 3v3 vs sokuras team there was only like 2 or 3 other 3v3 matches and they were quickest to win there match and then in 4v4 gate they where the only two teams and all the other players that werent involved in the match got eliminated because there was one spot left and it was the last game of the second selection
