If i had a choice to join a group of OCD people or hoarders.... I'd run to the OCD group right quick. Smh at hoarders.

In America cleaners aren’t seen as respectable or very important at all . I really love this show and the treatment of these cleaners !❣️

That carpet should have been thrown away. The problem is down through the pad. After the cleaning, dirt will rise up through the pad and back into the carpet. And it's not sanitary.

Love Louise. So military in her approach. Well paired with Leslie.

I am in behavioral therapy for hoarding. It is truly a nightmare to be trapped inside your home by your own mind.

Both forms of OCD are two sides of the same dark coin. My dearest blóod relative near my age was once as compulsively clean as Glenn. After which she became as much a hoarder as David. Both extremes are, well...extreme. Spend 16 hours a week cleaning an immaculate flat? Not wanting to eat or read a book because then things wouldn't be in perfect order? When we were girls at school she was like that, to a point where her teen rebellion took the form of sneaking the ancient, heavy family vacuum into her bedroom for an extra hoovering after she did her chores. Years later, in college, she began to flip ovér to the hoarder side... And on from there. She hoarded because it helped her cope with bereavement issues. She hoarded to try to cope with the reality of mortality and of losing loved ones. If you hoard everything, you wind up losing it all. But if you don't dare use what little you have in order to live, you also lose it all. In the mid zone, toward the orderly side, is the healthiest place to be. Look up a very old sitcom I heard of as a child, with Jack Klugman, called "The Odd Couple". These two, including their prickly banter, remind me a bit of that old sitcom.

Hoarders are the most selfish people on the planet.Ive lived next to two generations of hoarders. The rodents they produce have destroyed my house. You cant even sue them because you cant prove it.They are utterly vile people.

glen seems like a sweet guy. he immediately understood what was david's deal. he's rude and judgemental, and a pretentious prick too. he's not a collector. a collector actually takes care of their stuff: like glen said, you have this amazing object and it's just sitting behind a closed door, collecting dust. as someone else in the comments said: he's not a collector, he's a hoarder with an education

The poo hoarding struck a chord with me. I hoarded my poo for 4 years when I was younger. I was adopted and when I first moved into my adopted dads home, I was doing that alot. I actually had a small blue bucket in my closet that i'd sit on like a toilet and poop into it. Then I'd keep it in my closet. I'd only store it in there for a day at most, but still, it was a weird behavior I know. I had alot of issues and was probly really f3cked up from the way my biological parents acted. I had a deep fascination with poo in general and liked the smell and everything. My adopted dad (bill) was actually patient with me and took me to a therapist to find out what significance playing with my poop had.

Hector is such a character - I liked him from the start, genuine, friendly, easy going. I am happy he was able to get rid of stuff and get his house in order. Rob reminds me a bit of Kevin Bacon. I cheered him when he overcame his fear of germs and ate the raspberry straight from the bush. Well done to him.
