This game badly needs to be remastered/remade. If this had enhanced graphics (at least on par with the arcade versions of Fighting Vipers) it would be amazing. They should also fix the music loop (which is not supposed to restart after every round) glitch. Rentahero's theme was the only track unaffected by this.

AM2, subset of Sega who designed all the Sega fighting games (from Virtual Fighter to Sonic The Fighters), could only use characters for Fighters Megamix that they had the rights to. Hence Bean and Bark, as they were the only characters in Sonic The Fighters that were Sega AM2 owned.

So this was released in 1997, it's very likely that at that time an early version of Shenmue was in development on the saturn before moving to the Dreamcast (Virtua Fighters RPG anyone?) so that ending tune might just be an early shenmue track on purpose

I'd like to nonchalantly say I did the same, because obviously I have better things to do than play old SEGA games for 3 1/2 days straight, but that would unfortunately be a lie. It's not even the only time I've logged the 84 hours necessary as, due to the Saturn's memory being dependant on an internal CR2032 battery, my save data has been lost to cyberspace more than once.

OOh the nostalgic, this is the best fighting game ever. so many heroes and dynamic and great playing with brothers. This made my youth the best years of my life.

I'm always impressed by c64 remixes, because how simple the c64 is with only 3 channels. The simplicity means musicians need to get more creative to get around limitations

+Almighty Janitor I feel the same way. I like to think I did a good job but experts such as Rob Hubbard, with his phenomenal soundtrack for "Monty on the run", really showcase the C64
