Finishing MN mode on the original 360 version is simply my best achievement from playing video games ever. The sense of achievement was unreal,but I also remember the amount of time I lost from trying to achieve it.

I did this, then I tried to save the DLC costumes on a memory card because I didn't have online at my house. They literally took all my achievements away and the gamer picture. Be careful the OG has some really bad splits between save points. Some real BS.

I remember being 13 and I spent like 8 months to finish NG2 in the middle difficulty and I am very proud of that. I started black on hard and did a run without any healing to get back into the groove, i died like 20 times in that run. Then I started on mentor and honestly I started getting my ass handed to me but like you say.. once you are put through the wringer, your play style evolves and knowledge starts to appear. Now am starting to flow with the game again and I am excited to try master soon. Am sure you’ll become the ninja master! Good luck man

I like the decision and am looking forward to watching the journey. I played the original on Path of the Master. I spent hours practicing and memorizing the move sets. Learning which combos offer s and how to tactically use them (because incendiary shuriken spam). I don't know if I'll ever achieve the same level of satisfaction just making it from one save statue to the next as in the original NG2. That game you have to beat Warrior to unlock Mentor and you have to beat Mentor to unlock Master. I remember the move to higher difficulty being a pretty significant jump for each. What's funny is I felt like I was pretty good, but there are some other NG players I still watch who are WAY better than I ever was.

I am one of the few that did both OG xbox NG's on Master Ninja (i def cant do it anymore, this was like 15 years ago), but a good tip is abuse the i-frames of guillotine throw on incendiary ninjas cause theyre broken

Ninja Gaiden Black and Ninja Gaiden II 2008 damage output is well directed. Itagaki didn't lie when he said "i made sure it's a fair challenge" since enemies are intense in the originals get used to utilizing "The Furious Wind Technique" then you're good to go. the only enemy type considered a problem is the horse waves who charge at you late game.

I beat master ninja on OG ninja gaiden 2 and it was pure hello. All that for a gold costume

I played through NG2 and 3 on 360, though multiple difficulties. Yeah, it was hard back then but it kind of encouraged me to keep playing and dying, a lot, lol. And it seems, the experience from lower difficulties help significantly in higher ones. What's more important, the controller was much endurable back then, while my original XSX controller had drift issue in less then 2 years.

I'm not convinced that Vanilla NG2 is "Harder" Than NG2B. But I guess there is only 1 way to find out. Good luck bro.

I can't describe the feeling I had after beating something so frustrating but still so fun. The feeling I can relate it to is, finally beating Milenia in Elden Ring, but Ninja Gaiden gives you that feeling every chapter on master ninja.

What I originally did to get better at these games was with the original Ninja Gaiden on Xbox. There was no mission mode or other things to do, except replay the campaign again and again and try to get better. Since I liked the game so much I went through it a few times, climbing up the difficulties. Once I beat the hardest mode (Very Hard at the time) I then started trying to beat every boss without healing on that mode. So I spent alot of time learning the game that way before I got into mission mode scoring in NGB. Normal Mode was very hard for me the first time through. Like you said, you learn by breaking it down into steps and eventually reach your goals, and will likely set higher goals during the process. In my case I went from Normal straight to the hardest mode, Very Hard, which is what I tend to do with extreme modes. Its definitely more of a trial by fire but eventually I worked it out. Its never bad to ease into it slower and get a feel for the layout, exploiting enemies, etc.

Good luck brother! I got as far as Alma on Master Ninja in Ninja Gaiden Black, and was half way through Hard on OG NG2 back in the day. I had stopped because it no longer was fun to me. From what I remember, for the higher difficulties, you have to use the projectile weapons to break mob patterns...rapid fire rocket launchers were no fun. I've had a lot of fun watching newcomers come in and go directly to the hardest difficulty available even if it's Ninja Gaiden 2 Black. 😆

Couldn't you have just done a very hard run first on ninja gaiden 2 black then go to master ninja? Seems to make more sense than buying the OG game

It may sound absurd, but Master Ninja is the video game equivalent of completing Navy Seal training. A brutal and unforgiving quest that seeks to break you in every way possible. Saw you made it to the boss. The dream is alive. Keep going!

You have to unlock MN by beating warrior and mentor first on series X. Best of luck. It truly is brutal.

I recall how brutal doing master ninja was back in the day on PS3..You have to play very differently - always be blocking and never stop moving. Funny enough the hardest missions were either at the beginning there or alternate character missions (Ayane,etc.). Also online co-op trials...imagine 2 bosses simultaneously at MN difficulty WITH network lag slowing you down, that shit was unforgiving - I still think that was the single hardest trophy i've had to do.

I think this doom is taking "A doom for all slayers to heart" a big issue people had with eternal was that they felt they had to play in a very specific way I think we're going to get a slower Doom Eternal with more options on the way in which you play Jumping and shooting Standing your ground or running and gunning I dont think we'll get Doom 2016's "just use the super shotgun for 90% of the game" but we'll have more viable options While I do love eternal and i think its practically perfect There are a lot of people who were fans of 2016 that it just didnt click with So the best they can do is try and bring those players back and please the eternal fans with a new experience

This game is not for any man...only ninjas on a controller can ever master it. I have done it once on Master Ninja on XBOX...cannot get back there again. This game is near impossible without much practice. Also this game makes Sekiro look like a spectacle of ease. This difficulty was made to end your attempts...hence how short the game is.

OG for memory...6 enemies at a time...this one still holds back...but also beefs the enemies.

I feel it was the best attempt of both sides...missing og Ninja Gaiden 2 and Sigma. Needs more precise aiming for flying swallow but besides a few bugs homing to an enemy it is a solid remaster/update.

Hey there. The live stream "game face" is real! Jokes aside, I appreciate the warning about Master. I completed Path of the Acolyte on OG NG2 and thought that was one of my greatest gaming achievements ever. Over the years I've understood what a slight achievement that actually is in the grand scheme of the game. I'm working my way slowly through NG2 Black on Warrior. I think the gameplay is timeless and hope to feel motivated enough to tackle the again on Mentor. Master difficulty? We'll just have to see... Great video!

I kinda doubt Sony will bring back all of the Greek games if any. Sony has become a much more conservative company, and while they let nudity and wanton violence slide, they only do so if the game is being "arthouse," for lack of a better term. David Jaffe's games were not about a deep message or telling a melodramatic plot; they were pure, unadulterated fun, and I doubt Sony wants to be associated with those games anymore. If anything, I'm still shocked we got the remaster of GoW 3.

NG2 Xbox master ninja mode will probably be my greatest gaming achievement ever. I’d say the first two chapters were the hardest because it only took me a couple weeks to beat the rest. 2 years for the first two chaoyers
