Just get someone to push the bleeding brake pedal for you. Less change of bubbles going upstream. Silliness putting peoples lives at risk to avoid asking for help. Sad really…

Hi Gerry can I ask a quick question. So our RDB has a leaky pump. When the engineer fits a new one he adjusts the pump to 7bar. As soon as he set the new pump to 7bar it leaks from the adjuster?? He has tried 3 new pumps. Riello aren’t much help?? Any ideas?? It’s a Grant 50/70 unit about 22 years old. It functions very well. Many Thanks

If you remove the bleeder screw and fill the threads with grease then reinstall it works much much better
Accidentally came up with this as a teen Forgot about it, so I came up with a way to do it with a check valve as an adult

Great advice about using the side of the drill bit to make a start. My drill was sliding all over the tile. I was so worried about the holes not staying aligned or just damaging the tile in general. But using the side of the diamond drill bit. It dug in straight away. Just go slow and steady

Missleading. Was left with the impression that the cans were all I needed. Still need the stove

Thanks for explaining this 👍. I am planning on building one myself soon. Have you considered putting sand in the too drum? It would radiate heat for a while after the oil burner stops running.

Is there a filter on the pump unit. My boiler runs fir a minute then seems to get starved of fuel. Fitted a new nozzle, but still the same.

Whats free about that? veg oil £2.10 a litre at lidl, more expensive than diesel or heating oil, twat!
@IoraTera26 күн бұрын
It's free in the sense that instead of throwing away the oil you used, you're using it to generate heat for cooking.

good Idea. I have a huge metal tub in which I can mix dry wood chips with used oil. Fill bags and away we go into my outside boiler. Testing mixture ratios then. Thank you for the simplicity.
