I had some people coming over to clean my Daikin Ac...the smell was horrible. I cam still see some leftovers and it still stinks...The trade said it cant be fully cleaned unless completley demolished and that part with mould taken out. Where they just lazy or its really impossible to remove it all? Thanks

Daniel another question s shouldn’t that condenser be up on a high-rise pad? It is a heat pump. Probably good work need more good technicians like you out. There is going to crap i’ve seen a lot of shortcuts and corners cut by other guys they’re not learning it the right way

Those pans need to be larger. Mine is not straight either so you end up digging crap out. At least installer could have placed it evenly on mine. I wonder if there are sealers that can be applied to bottom and a Few inches up perimeter on side of tank? Possibly epoxy to stop rusting. Unless the rust was in metal in first place,due to using recycled .

Great video. As it’s single zone. Would you have to add another circulator pump if it were two zones or you would use one pump and add zone valves?
@DCHVAC
@DCHVAC 16 күн бұрын
We will never use zone valves to zone. Only circulator pumps. Zone valves are garbage.

Do Bosch has sensors to use instead of thermostat? I want to have one thermostat downstairs and one sensor upstairs for zoning.. also what zoning part will you recommend for Bosch?😅
@DCHVAC
@DCHVAC 16 күн бұрын
You should use two thermostats then. Taco switching relay with taco 0015e3 circulators.
@kevonslims7269
@kevonslims7269 17 күн бұрын
If the coil on the potential relay is bad or the contacts inside the relay are struck closed that keeps the 250-375 Mf capacitor in loop with the start winding which is too much and the compressor goes off on overload..

Hey Daniel, I have this boiler and I'm getting 8.6% CO2 and CO in the upper 80's PPM at high fire. 37% excess air, 5.7% O2. If I back out the throttle screw to 9.0% CO2 (min specified by NTI), my CO exceeds 100ppm. Any ideas? This is after cleaning the combustion chamber. Gas line pressure is within spec static (7 inWC) and and high fire (>4 inWC).
@DCHVAC
@DCHVAC 21 күн бұрын
@@PhillyFixed first of all recommended static from NTI is 7-10 InH2O. (And Higher if it’s propane) Just because it’s within “spec” doesn’t mean it’s what the manufacturer wants. The specified minimum is the absolute minimum it will run at that doesn’t mean it’s safe and proper to do so. The maximum CO from NTI is 175, because through there tests they’ve found the lowest level it can burn at with varying atmospheric pressures and gas pressures is 175. And that doesn’t mean 175 is good it just means that NTI will accept it. I would say you need to inspect everything fully and clean everything fully. Inspect the burner itself. If the burner has any slight defect, crack, hole, anything. It will burn improperly and cause higher CO. Secondly check your blower. Make sure it’s actually modulating at the RPM the system thinks it’s at. I would check fresh air, make sure u have no blockages even thought you have enough. I believe the blower pulls the gas in on this model rather than allowing it to just flow in, which means it requires good negative air pressure from the fresh air. I would check for blockages in the exhaust and make sure it’s clear. And make sure it’s within manufacturer specifications with distance (number of fittings, and type of fittings increases distance greatly). Make sure your combustion analyzer and your manometer are reading accurately. There’s a lot to look at. Kinda need to gauge the situation yourself.

@DCHVAC thanks for the reply. NTI specifies min 4 / max 10.5 inches of WC as the acceptable range for the gas pressure, with 7 as the ideal. It's around 7 static, but more like 4.3 at high fire -- there's not much I can do to increase my gas pressure from the street, though. "Throttle screw" is the term NTI uses for the gas adjustment screw in their literature. UEI C161 analyzer just came back from UEI's calibration/recert, and manometer was zeroed just before turning the gas back on. I'll double check my air intake and exhaust piping for any obstructions, I suppose. I can't think of any other causes. The boiler is 7 years old and has operated well in the past, so no issues with the original install (vent distance etc.) Thanks again for the reply!

Do you install bypass dampers with your zoned Bosch units. I see this system has the EWC zoning equipment that self modulates but is a bypass damper recommended with standard zone dampers? The compressor is variable speed but I think the indoor fan is constant torque and is set at the dip switch’s. I wanted to ask your opinion because I’m a service technician and I know you install a lot of Bosch units.

Thanks for this video! I have a 20+ yr old Lennox (Dunkirk) PSB-5 boiler and just did an identical control module replacement. Thanks for pointing out the wiring change from 24V to TH-W I never would have figured that out! Changing this control was the diagnosis for my boiler not lighting up but it made no change. The igniter sparks but it doesn’t release any gas to fire it up. The only difference is that the new control shuts off for five minutes before trying again where the old one just kept sparking. The igniter was replaced last fall and everything worked fine until this heating season. Any ideas?
