I firmly believe that this anime is like lucky charms. You have to get through the mid crunchy cereal parts (in arcs case the presentation) to appreciate the goated marshmallow parts (in arcs case the story)

I do hope the next Sonic movie is a Shadow one and it adapte this game

I love this review. 👍 It reminded me of everything that was fun about the original game, but also why it doesn't hold up. But it was memorable, and formed the foundation of everything that the rest of the franchise was built on. The Chinese restaurant, Budapest hotel and Romanian mental hospital were great videogame locations back in 2000.

I just recently finished watching this show and well I'm kinda indifferent towards tbh. Like there are definitly cool stuff going and it's definitly not a bad show, but it's just didn't hook me at all. Maybe if it had a stronger support cast, i'd be a bit more infested. Like with the exception of Cougar and Kazama's friend, the rest of the supporting cast is kinda meh.

I feel very nostalgic for this game. I still have the original CD somewhere. A little heads up. Speaking of the hotel level "Traditions of the Trade". There actually is a way to avoid the metal detector alarm during the escape. Just go through while dressed as a policeman/security officer. I played that level so many times I found that out when I was like...6 or 7. 47 will still run for the car...but without being shot at. That feels nicer.

The storyline of the 3rd zone of enders taking place in ancient times and with a female protagonist seems very promising.

I think an update needs to be done :P hehe some new getter stuff has come out since this came out

Awesome artwork, completely mediocre game game. Button mashy gameplay that doesn't understand fighting games nor beat em ups. Fatal Sync, spam EX moves to combo 15 enemies at once, Burst, Fatal Sync, repeat. Extremely sloppy enemy design, redundant moves, bad bosses, poorly thought-out mechanics.

Thx for the retrospective. I just recently binged through this, first trying to watch "washed out" version till mid of ep 2, then stumbling upon this re-release with stellar picture quality. And you were right, I'm one of the people who didn't really notice the drop of animation quality in the second half, only noticed that the SSF members lost their plot armor for the Lucifer to murder them all horribly... I'm glad that I also learned about its development history.

I love the dolores i anime series. The combination of 50 year old and giant pink robot is comical and lovable without pandering viewers with soft pron rubbish. Both the story and character development were extremely good comparatively to the average of anime medium. It was surprisingly well dubbed too.

My first time seeing getter robo is in SRW D on Game Boy Advance (i got the game cartridge from my parents boss when they travel to Japan) and as a kid I really don't care the jp language just seeing cool robot fighting is good enough. Then recently i started playing srw D again on emu and i just realized the plot on getter robo is same as Armageddon they even had the final getter tomahawk
