i doubt them handlebar risers are supposed to ride on one bolt on each side holding you to the triple tree. thats gonna come off in your hands one day.
@Harry_Dawg.5 күн бұрын
Unfortunatley that's the way the it's designed, as there is only one hole in the handle bar mounting brackets (Even though the tree has 2 threaded holes) I will say, I have already experienced what you are describing as the handle bars came loose during a ride. I applied blue thread locker and tightened them back down. So far so good, but definitely cause for concern. Not defending X-Pro by any means. This video is intended to be an honest review and show the pros and cons of this bike. (one of which is the handle bar mounts).

It's running. I'll try and post a new video soon! Still getting some clutch chatter, so that will have to be addressed. Cool trucks, but be prepared for some wrenching! Is it a 327 with 3 Speed?

Is this bike a actual 250cc or a 230cc
@Harry_Dawg.24 күн бұрын
It's a 223 CC. I think the X-Pro Templar comes with a true 250 CC. Haven't gotten it wide open yet since it's still in the break in period, but it seems to have plenty of low end torque.
@dirty-moto23 күн бұрын
@@Harry_Dawg. Only the Templar X and Templar M. Regular Templar has the smaller CC engine. I've got the X model and I love it, so I hope you have as much fun with your new Storm! I'd like to eventually get one of these or anything smaller as a backup/spare/loaner/slightly easier to haul option.
@Harry_Dawg.23 күн бұрын
Good to know. It's been a blast so far! Definitely light weight and easy to maneuver. I wouldn't have any worries putting this on a hitch carrier either.

Love the look of so many XPro bikes I just hate the tires. Wish they would give you the option of a more street friendly tire if you have no desire to ride off road.
@Harry_Dawg.25 күн бұрын
For sure! I love the square headlight on the Storm. It reminds me of the old 90's dual sports. The Paladin looks the best out of all of them though, and the Titan / Templar also have nice body designs. The knobby tires were actually a selling point for me, as I will be using this bike mostly for off-road. One might get a set of supermoto wheels and tires, but this will set you back almost the price of the bike lol.

Great video and explanation. I'd look into getting a jet kit or a possible carb swap, as they're jetted lean from the factory. Also, checking the valves wouldn't hurt, as that could be causing the hard start-up.
@Harry_Dawg.Ай бұрын
Thanks for watching. Glad you found the video informative. I will definitely be checking valve lash, as I want to ensure longevity of this engine. The common feedback is that clearances are way too tight from the factory. Once that's done, I'll re-evaluate and make a decision on carb tuning. More to come soon!

Who customized the Expedition One rear bumper for you? I couldn't make it out on the video.
@Harry_Dawg.Ай бұрын
The truck was built by Hammer Lane Customs in Cumming, GA. Unfortunatley they closed down shop last year. Not sure if I mentioned it in the video, but this bumper was off of a Dodge Ram TRX. They took about 6 inches total out of the width, and relocate the mounting brackets to make it fit the Excursion.
@dannyboy101010Ай бұрын
@@Harry_Dawg. Thanks for the reply. A TRX kitted like that would be rad, but it definitely looks at home on the Excursion. That's a bummer that they closed up shop.

That dude in the 4 runner was so excited to be useful that one moment justifies all the late hours at work to cover his credit card debt while his wife and kids have to hear about his 4Runner and the one time he helped save a bronco
@DesertGeezersАй бұрын
You know him or just running off at the mouth ?
@bonesBPMCАй бұрын
Dont drive it while its being winched. Let the winch do the work, it helps to keep his cable wrapped tight and neatly on the drum. And to use another snatch block on the bronco for a two line pull back to the pull vehicle. Cuts the speed in half, but doubles the pull power.
@Harry_Dawg.Ай бұрын
Good analysis of the situation. Agreed on winching technique. I think people loose their cool in recovery situations and automatically resort to skinny pedal when the vehicle starts moving. In hindsight, best practice would be to anchor the Toyota to a tree and use the double block configuration. This took place during a timed rally race, so speed was of the essence. Thanks for commenting!

How long does the dutch oven take to cook over an open flame/grill fire to cook a pizza to achieve the normal dark brown crust? THANKS! I'm also looking for a model that can cook a pizza over a normal stove top burner.
@Harry_Dawg.2 ай бұрын
For pizza, you want to put coals on the lid and underneath instead of direct heat, otherwise it will burn the bottom. Probably about 20 minutes. Use open flame for heating soups, searing meat, etc. This is the Ozark Trail dutch oven from Walmart. Works great, but the little feet do tend to get stuck in grill grates. Maybe look for a flat bottom one if you want to use it on a camp stove, and stack rocks under it when you want to use it more like an oven. This model is a good intro one just to see if you like cooking with dutch ovens. Thanks for your watch and comment!
