I thought the elbows weren’t supposed to be high in total immersion?

Beautiful stroke, bravo! Looks like a lot of rotation there, something I must try and improve on. 🏊👍

Nice contact between the push and stretch phases here. You can maximise your momentum a little more by being more aggressive in getting your upper arm through the back half of the stroke and slowing with your elbows above your head. If you watch some Phelps’s or popovici training freestyle you’ll see this in action.

Is it possible to have that much buoyancy at that speed? How can they keep their feet at the surface like that without moving them? How can they move their arm so slow without falling asleep? Where is the fun in doing that? In brief those are much better swimmer then we think or there is a trick somewhere that we don’t see maybe they swim with a pull buoy . Put in short an amazing video. Well done.

When you take your underwater arm from just under the surface to pointing like 45 degrees your feet will go up automatically. Buoyancy is reached by horizontal balance and "weight shift". Search on yt for "TI SWIM" official channel- there are a lot of exercises and vids. It helped me to learn it by my own.

nice swimming with high elbow... however if he was racing the technique would be quite different.. also in long distances like over 20k
