I'm old enough that I have flown on one. It was a puddle jumper flight from Salt Lake City to Phoenix, with stops on both sides of the Grand Canyon.

Beautiful . Glad to see, this old bird, still flying somewhere in world. Myself and my late elder brother had served in the Indian Air Force. In year 1986, our Air Force replaced these old work horses with Russian AN-32 Aircrafts.

Thanks for sharing that story. The DC-3 was a workhorse of aviation, serving in many different roles for many years.

@@peterdupreez2628 Yes, she was ZS-CAI when in South Africa. You can still vaguely see it under one of her wings. I had the pleasure of taking a ride in her a year ago. A beautiful, proud bird.

This Pilatus is operated by Plane Sense, the company who has the largest fleet of Pilatus airplanes in the world. I fly the Pilatus PC-12NG professionally and routinely see their planes everywhere I go. You can tell a Plane Sense airplane by its light blue and white paint scheme and the Alpha Fox tail number. Great company with great pilots!!
@visibilityunlimitedmediaАй бұрын
The PC-12 basically established the single engine turbine market when it was introduced in 1991. It will soon have some competition when Textron/Beechcraft certifies their similar Denali single engine turbine, see link. kzbin.info/www/bejne/aXPXdKqfjNuAhdksi=JHQnM-NMaH6r5zAo

Wow, it must be hard to land a DC-3 without bouncing. I watched a docu about the KLM DC-3 Uiver, named after the original KLM plane that won second place in the London-Melbourne Air Race. They flew the second Uiver all the way to Australia too, but I noticed they also bounced during landings.
