I thought this was RC and I thought Wow an 1835 VW in a RC plane is impressive! Lol! Very beautiful nonetheless! Bill Hempel makes a 65% Tri Fokker that is RC. Hence why I thought this was as well...

How do you start the engine of this aircraft? Hand-prop, ripcord or ignition switch/button? I'm asking because just because the aircraft it's based on has to be hand-propped, don't mean this replication of the aircraft does. I need to know as soon as possible because I am trying to find good aircraft for my production/s.

Depends a lot on the engine and if you want to have a starter or not. The Hirth F-33 comes with a starter and so does the 1/2 VW engine. I wouldn't want to start one with a hand prop. Just sayin.

I believe this is the perfect untralight. It's a two-seater so you can take an instructor along with you until you know how to fly it safely. Once you know what you're doing and have some time under your belt, you can take a passenger. Nice plane!

In the write-up in the beginning of the video it says that the plane was equipped with an intercepting gear to allow the machine guns to fire through the arc of the propeller. What you mean is that it was equipped with an interrupting gear which interrupted the firing of the machine gun as the propeller blade passed in front of the muzzle of the gun.

Too bad...the gear is way too wide, the rudder is way too big, heck, even the crosses are just ~wrong.

That is the "Ultralight" version. On standard version, the nose is not a Loooonnnnnggggggg....

@@okbuddyretard To keep it in "Ultralight" weight limits, it has to have a light engine. With such light engines the "moment arm" where the engine is positioned HAS to be further forward to keep the center of balance at or just forward of the center of lift, to maintain stability.

@@avionics21 But it's using a Rotax 506. An engine that is also on the standard version. The standard version doesn't have a nose that long.

Love this design. However with a 170 lb pilot weight, it is useless for me. A bigger version of this would be nice. Maybe a two seat version, with a 65 HP Continental.

In specifications it is written, that its usefull weight is 250 lbs. So you still have about 80 lbs for fuel , oil, etc.
