Riding a motorcycle is the best thing I have ever done for my mental health. I am on the autism spectrum, I have ADHD, Anxiety, depression ++. Riding a bike made all my bad thoughts go away! When I was out riding I felt like my mind was finally free, I could relax and just enjoy the day. No medication or drug has ever come close to the calmness I felt when I was riding. I could easily ride for 12 hours a day without problem, just going anywhere and nowhere.. Just enjoying being out. I did 57800km / 35915 Miles in 2 seasons on a damn Honda Grom lol. I sold my motorcycle in 2019 and I haven't ridden since and I can feel my brain yearning to get back out on the road, my brain is litteraly crying for a new motorcycle so I can get back out and relax. Due to Anxiety I overthink and I am afraid to get back out on the road due to the high risk of being hurt on a motorycle. Maybe next spring I will get my dream bike, the KTM 390 2024 model.

Is it truth that the bike has a quite hot engine especially for legs? I live in country with a bit hot climate and it might be a problem
@turnthekeypov5044Ай бұрын
Apparently removing the catalyst can make a notable difference, and emissions requirements also affect how hot the engine runs. It's not the worst but it is noticeable.

Isn't the fuel cap the same as scrambler 1200s? I just leave mine unlocked, don't have to use the key.
@jmac509Ай бұрын
I test rode one of these a few weeks ago and the ONE issue I had with it was the heat coming off the engine. My legs were really warm. It wasn't super uncomfortable but I could see it being a real issue on a hot day or in heavy traffic. Surprised none of the other reviews I've seen have mentioned this. Also curious if this is just endemic to most larger displacement engines or this bike in particular?
@turnthekeypov5044Ай бұрын
It's partly owing to the large displacement of the engine, but emissions requirements also have an impact on how hot the engine runs, along with the catalyst underneath the engine. Removing/deleting the catalyst apparently makes a noticeable difference.

Hi , you can see the odometer on the service page if you scroll up or down through the trip, range you get to the service page and can see the odometer in the top right hand corner😊. No mention of the vibration through the handle bars
@turnthekeypov5044Ай бұрын
Good to know on the odometer :) For handlebar vibrations I personally haven't noticed it as an issue, but curious to hear if it's a common issue.

Customising a brand new £13K bike would of course be a very different story...but at the time of this comment it's not difficult to find used examples for less than £7.5K.

I have a question, please suggest me a solution... Whenever I tried to upshift or downshift i have to synchronize with the throttle and many time it doesn't change. Is it normal or i have a problem with my shift assist?

I bought a thruxton. Looks better and bristling with premium parts and wire wheels. I threw superbike bar conversion on and a flat seat. Comfort and looks
@jonr11222 ай бұрын
I went from the Thruxton to the Speed, much prefer the bars and seat on the Speed, and wire wheels are just a pain in the arse.

@turnthekeypov50443 ай бұрын
The TEC dueller is a great choice, and if you have the pre 2020 model you can bypass the CAT without having to remove it. In my case I've just got a pair of Weslake end-cans. Hope this helps!

Hi bro, in your Himalayan 450bike do you have "Tak" sound when shifting the gear from netural to 1st gear and 1st to 2nd ?
@rebelrider2476 ай бұрын
If you hear a heavy clunk and the bike kinda recoils a bit you can relax. It's how bike get into 1st and 2nd since they cannot synch the clutch plates like a car can since it lacks the syncro thing.

If you get rid of the cat and O2 sensors I've noticed a much cooler ride compared to my 865 Bonnie. Of course when the fan comes on it blows heat just like any other liquid cooled bike. I normally ride in ambient temps of 20° to 32°C, no problem if you keep moving.
