A bit of a weird vid this one Rich, it was supposed to be all about the Broads, yet hardly any of the video footage was on the Broads, some of it was waterways overseas, was that intendid, or did something go wrong in the editing department?.

In all honesty this is one that my son has done for me using AI. As you might be aware following Lisa’s illness we have separated so trying to keep things going has been difficult. I openly admit that it’s not the best work ever and several of this pictures are not what should have been used. I’m currently working on a video about Wroxham which while using Ai I’m using actual footage I shot, hopefully this will be a lot better. I’ll send you a link to it before it goes live next week would be good to have your feedback.

I had no idea of tour's and Lisa's personal circumstances, or that Lisa was ill. I'm really sorry to hear that. So with all that's happened, what's the future of Nauti Rascal, will you be able to keep her, or will she have to go? @@WaggiesCruising
@WaggiesCruisingАй бұрын
The Nauti-Rascal is currently up for sale with Boatshed Norfolk, I am gutted as I have spent so much on her and just have her how I want her. Its life, my son however is in the middle of purchasing a boat so the vlogs will continue with a slight twist. The boat needs some work but he is hoping to have it on the water by next season. If you PM your email I will send you a link to the next video, be good to have your feedback.

I grew up in Lowestoft, my mother lived there until we moved her into care earlier this year. Growing up it was a wonderful place to live, I have the happiest memories, but. In recent years it has become run down and is not the shopping centre it was, even the beach and sea front has run itself down Just before we moved my mother we went for nostalgic fish and chips. the chip shop/cafe was closed in the middle of June! we ate in an almost empty pub. looking toward the Claremont pier the beach was virtually empty. We left knowing there was no reason to go back.
@WaggiesCruising2 ай бұрын
Thank you for commenting, what you mention is so very sad to hear. I was shocked in all honesty as my childhood memories of Lowestoft are similar to yours, it needs regeneration and money spending to make it the wonderful place it once was. Rich

I love Loddon, i first went to Loddon on Sturday 6th June 1970, we were taking over a brand new Aston Orion from Aston Boats which were based in your boatyard. I have to say, when it was Aston`s yard, it was always immaculate, and now, sorry to say, it looks like a tip. If i was allowed to run it, most of those scruffy boats would be scrapped or got rid of, and the yard fully tidied up to its former glory. Having said that, if there`s anything you`d like to know about the yard when it was Aston`s, i may be able to help.
@WaggiesCruising2 ай бұрын
Loddon is just lovely and is what I call a "Chocolate Box" village. As for the boat yard it is a shame that due to underfunding by the actual boatyard owner the two guys that run it are having to make do and mend. The guys work so hard to both undertake the work on the boats they are restoring and to keep the yard in some sort of order. The reason for so many older boats is that they use the wood to both restore the boats they have as well as recycling the wood to make money to keep they yard going. I would love to clean the yard up and get it back to its original condition but that will take funds which as far as I am aware isn't forthcoming from the owner. I can remember Aston Boats and in all honesty I didn't know they operated from Loddon. I would love to see any pictures or videos of the yard in its prime (if anyone has them). As always thank you for your comment
@neillambton40652 ай бұрын

Oulton Broad is lovely, relatively prosperous and has excellent transport links (2 mainline stations...jealous?). Pakefield is full of charm, cultural, good seaside proximity and has its own identity Carlton Colville is mixed residential. Lowestoft is sadly neglected but is fighting back. Traffic will be eased by the new 3rd river crossing, the town centre is having a much needed uplift. The good times have gone, but the good people who live there are proud of their town. It is typical of any coastal town, shops closing because digital is the new way to shop, lack of investment due to austerity. I enjoy your videos. Glad you liked OB

It’s a shame you walked the wrong way at the Conrad, If you had turned right instead of left up the high st your experience would have been vastly better going in to kirkley pakefield walking up the prom - you could have then looped back over the the back side of Oulton broad which comes out near where you go off at the station.. would’ve been a much much better circuit

@WaggiesCruising7 ай бұрын
Hey there! Wow, the idea of purchasing comments isn't something I was even aware you could do, and honestly, it's not something we'd be interested in. Our goal here is to create a genuine community and share content that we're passionate about. We operate our channel with the intention of keeping people informed and giving a glimpse into what we love to do. We truly value authentic engagement and if our comments seem similar, it's probably because we've got a like-minded community who share common thoughts and reactions. That's something we're really proud of! We're all about authenticity here. If people feel moved to comment, that's fantastic-we welcome all feedback and engagement. If not, no problem at all. At the end of the day, we're just thrilled to do what we do and to have anyone come along for the ride is a bonus. Thanks for dropping by and sharing your thoughts!
