Episode 11: Uncovering the charm of Cromer by train

Hi Rich and Lisa, great video, it reminds us of when my wife and i had a 2 week holiday on the Broads in October 2020. We had a week aboard Lightning for the first week, then a week in a riverside cottage in Brundall the second. We had a run up to Cromer while in the cottage, so it was good to see some recogniseable places. You`ve also given me idea`s about catching the train from OBYS into Lowestoft, as now, i`m limited where walking is concerned. I have a brother and sister in law who live in one of the flats in the big maltings buildings on the north bank of OB, so to moor for a couple of nights in the yacht station will allow us to meet up with my bro and s i l, and then have a day relaxing, with a train ride into Lowestoft, followed by another nigh in the yacht station when we`re back up in October this year. If you two are about during the week commencing Oct 22nd, keep an eye out for us on Lightning. Did you get the train from OB north direct to Cromer, or did you have to change at Norwich?. As for your mystery meet up, i have a sneaking suspicion who it is, GKS?.

Hi Neil, We are looking to be up from the 2nd October until the 17th all being well. Lisa and I have fell in love with Oulton Broad, it makes getting to the places we can’t get to due to air draft far easier. You could be right about the meet up 😂 Cheers Rich

@@WaggiesCruising Hi Rich, sadly, we`ll be on Lightning from Saturday 22nd for a week. We could have the following week, but my wife and i being in full time employment get limited holiday, so can`t make use of our second week. I retire next year, so will be able to get much more time on her.

@@WaggiesCruising We`ll very likely be sticking to the southerne rivers this time, and we often make Loddon our Saturday night stopover, just keep an eye out for us, as i will fot The Naughty Rascal. I`ve seen her moored at Loddon, so will easily see if you`re there.
