If some one found better IPS sceen phone then Poco X4 GT, please let me know. I have ot for 2 years and very happy with it, but time coming to jave something new. Short long story) I'm sensitive to screen shimming. I used to buy only Samsung Notes as I like it's pen. But I have very itchy eyes. I bought Xiaomi 9 or 8 for work reason and I was shocked that can use it for hours without eye itching. Anyway, long story. I got Poco X3 pro, and after sometime got X4 GT. Both are great phone especially X4 GT. No problem with eye itching or so. I can use it for hours. My only problem right now, that I can not find any better phone to replace my Poco X4 GT.

If performance requirements are not high, using older LCD smartphones can also be a good choice. Here are some examples of excellent non-PWM LCD smartphones (note: not all LCD phones are free of PWM): iPhone SE 3, iPhone 11, iPhone 8 Plus, Honor V30 Pro, Xiaomi 11T Pro, Huawei Mate 10, HTC U11/U12.

Hi if you manage to talk to Xiaomi, please tell them to make a flagship device with LCD screen. On another note the best LCD screen for people with eye strain is the LCD in HTC one m8 and e8. It is called Super LCD 3 (IPS Pro TFT LCD). It should be dirt cheap to make it now. Also I heard that people downgrade (read:"save") their screens using incell screens, they are available for many phones and people are replacing their iPhone screens with those incell iOS displays.

Hi Moe. No you're not alone! I'm super sensitive (also light sensitive), been having issues with screen for many years. Till I bough an 144hz monitor flicker free. I did not only deal with severe Headaches & Migraines, same as severe nauseas because of that. Any bad screen, is enough to me to get nausea after some minutes of use. I cant handle to deal with 60hz laptop monitors. It happened to me, to have to stay on a total dark and quiet room for 48h with severe migraines and nauseas due the use of bad screens for long hours. I can say, that was lot worst than a really big hangover. I found this video and channel - and thank god "we are not alone" 😄 I'm whiling in to buy an new smartphone, and my main choice is for the Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G - 1920hz screen for what I read ( similar to the Note 14 ). Since you're also eye sensitive and already tested at least 2 Xiaomi 14, it is a secure choice for us who have sensitive eyes? That is my main concerns buying a new phone, so your feedback would be helpful. Oled's / Amoled's, scares me, since I already bought a OLED TV, which I had to return because I couldn't handle it ( and was a 100hz Sony TV - Amazing TV, but not for my eyes - huge headaches after 1h of watching TV ). Tks

Here's a link comparing the Xiaomi 14 Ultra pwm (on the left) and the 14T Pro (on the right). Also the problem that the 14 ultra might have on the second link. I noticed two key things:(I feel great with the 14t pro but I need better cameras) On the 14T Pro, when the brightness is above 55%, the PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation) lines appear to move faster than on the 14 Ultra, which is surprising since they are supposed to behave similarly at these levels. If anyone knows why this happens, please share your insights in the comments. When the brightness is below 55%, the 14 Ultra shows heavy PWM lines more clearly. After using both devices for a few days, I’ve started to feel that the 14 Ultra is uncomfortable for me. Additionally, I believe there’s an issue with the Ultra: when the brightness is set to 40-50% and the screen displays a dark, stationary image, there’s a subtle but noticeable light fluctuation across the whole screen. I’ve decided to call for a DOA (Dead on Arrival) replacement and see if this issue is contributing to the discomfort I’ve been experiencing. If not, I’ll update you all with further observations. .drive.google.com/file/d/1-QWOV10BUd8L1YM2SUekO-J88rIkHAtb/view?usp=drive_link, drive.google.com/file/d/11iK0Oz8e3lNYWz0eIkM3eebKQVDJECgv/view?usp=drive_link

Hey man! Killer edits as always. Quick tip for when AI ruins parts of the car even though you didn't select the car. Just generate whatever you want, then ctrl+j your car masked out and paste it on top of the generative fill layer. This will make sure your car stays intact. Also i do this step at the end of everything for a smoother workflow experience! Cheers man!

the best example of pwm sensitive: you are in a room that's initially dark trying to find something and someone is constantly switching the light very fast. Even tho it's fast it still irritates.

In fact, phones with PWM values below 1440 should be banned from being released, just as phones are produced according to certain standards, SAR values etc. I think there should be a required standard for these PWM values as well.

On the 14 Ultra, the dc dimming only works at high brightness and pwm works at low brightness, its either way round.

I'm still trying to figure out if I have an issue with PWM. I suspect I do. Does any of you have an issue with other strong changes in lights? The only issue I've noticed I have is when driving and the Sun is low and shines to my eyes through the trees, creating a random frequency light on/light off effect. Which to my understanding is in essence the same as PWM at a lower frequency. Now when that happens, I start to feel sick within minutes (!), on the spot. While I suspect that PWM from displays makes me feel sick after a longer exposure and there's also a delay: This usually looks like staring at screens for hours before going to sleep, then feeling sick in the morning (migraine-like symptoms). Any similar experiences, anyone? I've lost so many days of my life feeling sick like this. I would greatly appreciate any help to find out if it might really be caused by PWM.
@Kushcherry_JollyjuanaАй бұрын
That's migraine for ya. The lights are triggers. If that's happening with sun in evening it will definitely show up with phone.
@9xqspx6Ай бұрын
@@Kushcherry_Jollyjuana Thanks for the reply. Not sure what you mean though. I have visited a neurologist and was told that I don't have migraine. But my symptoms are similar. Not sure what you mean by "sun in evening"?
@Kushcherry_JollyjuanaАй бұрын
I mistook low sun as evening. I think maybe you were saying when sun is low so its straight ahead of you. I have seen neurologists, physician, psychologist too. And no neurologist told me I had a migraine problem. Even I didn't imagine I could have migraine problem. But it is definitely a migraine trigger. I know because I have same trigger. Also, migraine is different for everyone. It is just not this or that. Even where you feel it how you feel it and where you feel it is different for everyone. But it is nicer to know you have migraine and take treatment for that than painkillers. Anyways I am glad you have it in your knowing. If it increases in future and your headache stays for long hours and is frequent you might find taking a medicine for migraine will soothe you. I don't wish it on anyone but I don't want for anyone to have it and be unaware. Cause it starts changing into migraine attacks and nothing makes sense no more.
@9xqspx6Ай бұрын
@@Kushcherry_Jollyjuana I see. Thanks for the input. I usually have neck issues as well when I feel unwell (not when it's triggered by the low sun flashing into my eyes through the tree branches), so I suspect something there as well. It's possible that I have multiple issues and they all cause the came cluster of symptoms. I think I tend to clench my jaw while sleeping. And the jaw muscles are related to neck muscles. So there might be a connection. Recently I've started to tape my mouth for the night, which seems to help me to relax my jaw - and it seems to be helping with my "migraine-like" symptoms as well. But it's a fucked up puzzle. For years I've been figuring out small things, one after the other, but still no resolution. Things that seems to help when I'm feeling unwell like this (maybe they help you too): drinking coke (I have no idea why - coffee makes it worse; and sugar-free coke works just as well; I also can't drink water, it makes me feel worse), ibuprofen painkiller (oddly the cheapest ones work much better than the fancy ones), eating very small amounts of sugary stuff (I've tested my blood sugar and it seems to be okay, even when I feel sick).
