I got the R6 Mark II, but I'm not liking the 24.2 MP only?😢 I would think this camera would have higher resolution. I may need to return it, and get different camera. I want to do bird/wildlife photography, this camera may not be enough? 🤔

Still maintain this is the main reason most used ones have high shutter counts. Folk doing this all the time.

I dont think theres a way to isolate locked photos from a sony camera with lightroom. anyone know if theres a way? would be nice if a button could be made to quickly rate images on sony with just one rating like 1 star.

was hoping to see some backend/software tips. honestly think this is where most youth sport photogs stuggle/fail, be cool to see a follow-up video on media managment & delivery. i know i'm always looking to improve things in this regard, even if it's the smallest of details, every bit helps when taking on youth sports and making the juice worth the squeeze!

Absolutely. I just shot athletics today. I never submit the “peg leg” shot. It looks awful, everything is sagging, including the cheeks and it makes them look like an amputee.

Heh... I was just wondering if I'm simply unlucky. Since I began my photography journey, I've owned 3 different camera bodies and hmm... around 15 autofocus lenses? -ranging from bughet ones to flagship models. The only lens that didn't require any focus adjustment (whether slight or significant) was an old zoom lens from the '90s on Pentax K5IIS, ironically enough. There seems to be a consistent issue of misalignment in every DSLR camera body and lens combination that I've tried. The question is, can you perceive these misalignments, and do they bother you? I'm seriously considering switching to a mirrorless system for my next camera purchase.

I mean, the 7d mii was only 20MP though? Not sure why I'd want an updated version of that sensor. The R7 beats it in every way except buttons and dials for me.

Can't shoot BBF left-handed - so, whilst I like it for when using two hands, it is no good when using your middle finger on the shutter with no right hand available.

Hey, Rob! How important is 70mm you consider in sports like football and other outdoor ones? Do you tend to use more of the longer end than shorter one? I'm asking because I preferred to buy *EF 200mm f/2.8 L USM II* instead of 70-200. It is absolutely perfect optically, sharp from corner to corner even wide open, lightning fast AF (especially with focusing distance limiter), while being way cheaper, lighter and smaller than fast zooms. Its only shortcoming is the lack of zoom and IS (would really make difference at such range, but could be compensated by IBIS in modern bodies). I realize it is possible, but is it adequate to shoot sports with just 200mm prime?

Really useful video thank you Rob. I am intending purchasing a used f4 DO II lens for around £2000. Do you know if Canon still support this lens in terms of repairs etc? I know there are not too many parts on a fixed aperture lens but obviously the auto focus and motors could go wrong. If Canon no longer support it are there third-party workshops who would be able to carry out such a repair? Thanks.

Hi Rob, I currently use a R6 as my main and wondered would the 7D ii work well for remote for behind the goalmouth shots? Picking one up used is around £300-£400, or can you recommend an alternative set up for remote goalmouth action that would work well. Thanks in advance 👍

I used to dream of owning one of the flagship cameras. I started 12 years ago with a Nikon D5200. I now shoot a Canon R6 mark ii and R7. Today I added a 1dx mark ii to my kit. Excellent condition, less than 6k shutter actuations. $960 USD. I’m so excited! Thanks for all your videos.

Hey Rob i‘m quite new to the channel but I am really happy that you are making videos again. I do sports photography for 12 years now, actually it is the reason why I started photography in the first place. And after a break of some years I now start again with it building a portfolio, getting myself into the business and it is nice to see your videos to kind of update my self to the newest stuff in sportsphotography gearwise and also I really like your voice so it is nice to watch and hear your videos :) can‘t wait to see more and if you come to Austria in the future give me a call and I would be glad to show you some stuff here :) Kevin

That has got to be the silliest title I've ever heard. Does it work? Of course it works. Otherwise, Canon wouldn't have developed both the camera and the adapter to be backwards compatible with EF lenses. There's a wasted click.

Rob. The answer to ‘The Gray’ was outstanding. Heart-full, sincere and pointed. This video is one of your best. I am struggling with gear transition possibilities - thinking of aborting Canon for Fuji. I own two 1DX bodies but aging hands. So I have been rewatching your videos on the R7 and R6. Now I’m not sure. Anyhow I was really impressed with your sincerity and sharing your story. A story that mimics mine to a degree. Best Paul

I just got the even older EF 80-200mm 2.8 and use the in-body IS, which was the main downside for the older model. And I get great images out of my R6 Mark II. But I use EF lenses only as I'm still using my Canon DSLRs and only added the R6 Mark II.
