Thank you for this. The remote camera at the end of the player tunnel is a cool idea. I will try this at the floorball game I shoot today.

Has your R7 arrived yet? Would love to see a video on how that performs for sports photography - specifically the rolling shutter.

Interesting, I can identify with a lot of this and what I do in my cricket coverage. I guess a lot of the similarities come from being the team/club snapper. Most long form cricket starts at 11.00 and I will often be on the ground by 7.30 as players arrive and have breakfast before warm ups. I liked his thoughts on remotes which I am going to do more of this season and am looking for some different angles with wider shots for these. I need to invest in a magic arm and means of securing, any suggestions ??

I use the Manfrotto magic arms John - tried a couple of others but nothing compared to the standard of those ones for me. For safety clamps and cables etc I got neewer ones

Great video, Rob. I typically shoot aviation but I will be shooting my son’s soccer games this year so I appreciate the many tips in your videos. I’m learning a lot!

I am now also shooting professional lacrosse ( speed is crazy) and I am usually there 2 hours early, get settled, team news, any events being promoted, check in with team photographer, see what assigned locations I get, they can change each quarter. Are you shooting with a 400mm 2.8 or F4, just one is costly and the other I need a mortgage for ( can’t find them second hand)
