For real I've been watching some of your shit mechanics videos and I'm actually hitting more shots and producing regular and consistent arc and speed of release. Thanks mate

Excellent vidéo. I was a very very good shooter in the eighties. Passionate with technique. I practiced 2 hours a day to become a clinical long distance jump shooter. To me Damian Lillard is close to the perfect shooter. His routine and technique is beautiful. The 3 points you are mentioning are no weakness at all, as you say it. - natural jump shot start with waist level ball control. Then you have the perfect rhythm and synchro of fluid smooth movement . The ball elevate to your head while you strengthen the legs. - body orientation is also perfect, a slight body, feet and shoulders open positon helps for alignment. - palm: Dames does NOT shoot with the palm. He simply poses the ball in the palm, at first. But the Ball release is one the purest and finest ever seen. He lets the ball roll freely without any tension from the palm to the fingers. The help the ball to rotate counter clockwise , it gives him an ultimate ball feeling. He really shoots with a total free and relaxed release from the finger tips. I respect other great shooters, like Curry of course. But technically , to me , Dames is the purest one. And … most of those high school coaches can not play proper basketball. They learnt it in books. They are great teachers, excellent kids leaders … but have very little knowledge of how the game should be played.

I hope this guy doesn't wear this outfit when he shows up for a pick-up game. He would get trash talked out of the gym.

As long as your shoulders are squared to the basket it doesn't really matter, pointing your feet to the basket does help with that tough

Suggestion, I am a youth coach and I’ve literally watched hundreds of training videos for kids. You should always, always show these videos with kids doing the drills. Anytime I see an adult performing the same drill they recommend for kids I rarely finish. It’s important to try and visualize how a beginner who can barely dribble with bad footwork is going to look like when performing the same drill.
