Hey guys I’ve got some really great news to share with you, Jesus Christ, the Son of God, died on a cross and resurrected on the third day so you may all have eternal life. If you believe and repent of your sins and put your faith and trust in Him as you would a parachute jumping off a plane at 25000 feet up in the air, He will give you eternal life in heaven as a free gift and I promise you, He will change your life forever as He did mine. He is the ONLY way to heaven and He loves you all. Please think deeply about this with urgency because this is your eternal life and soul, you don’t know when you could die, meaning you could die at any moment, so please consider this with all your heart. If anyone tells you that Jesus isn’t the only way, they are lying to you and they don’t care about your future. Thx for reading.

Hi Colin. I may be an atypical student as I am soon to be 71. I found you on you tube and am quite grateful, truth. I have not stopped playing since 10 and try to get in 2 hours shooting twice a week, That said, Your videos have reinforced my shooting approach and style. You have greatly help me fine tune my shot mechanics and once I warm up through arthritis…LOL, I shoot 70-80% from international 3 point line. Thank you for your instruction Colin and helping perfect my form, of which I have always tried to work on every time I hit the hardwoods. How would I be able to have my shot analyses by you, Colin? I am sure it is an unusual request from an elderly man. The hardwoods or asphalt has always been my go to sanctuary.

Hey Coach, don't know if you will reply, but I am 15, turning 16 soon, I work out regularly on and off the court, but sometimes, when I try and shoot the ball from my eyebrows and a full extension of my arm to break my eyeline, I get scared that I will airball, and miss and sometimes I have, so I am hitting a few 3 pt shots with a straight elbow, you lr points are correct as I made dramatic improvement in my shots after watching your video, but is there any drill that you can give me, today I decided to do midrange and got quite a few swishes, but when I go to the 3 pt it seems so daunting thr proper way( elbows extended, eyeline) that I just shoot some other way, is there any way to build up to the extended elbow and shooting from your eyebrows?

Arc angle is mathematically really important simply because there is MUCH more deviation in your shot (when it finishes at the rim) when you are at 40d or 50+d. Both too much and too little give you an unforgiving shot. So if you are off a degree or two but shooting at 45d normally with the same amount of force, its a make still. However if you are off a couple degrees but shooting with 55d or 40d, it a miss. Both shots are consistent and within a +-2 degrees of normal variance (assuming consistent force), but one is a miss and one is make simply due to the trajectory math. Best to dial in that arc to that 45d-ish.

Much easier than all of this. 1) Imagine a cookie jar on a shelf above your forehead. 2) Imagine reaching up, over the edge of the jar and then curling your hand down into the jar and grabbing a cookie with your finger tips This is how you get arc. Your arm goes up, with the ball on a flat pedestal of your hand. Near the full extension of the arm, the wrist flips over and the fingers point down. With the right timing of the jump, the ball floats off of the finger tips and seems to float through the air to the rim. Another way to practice it is to get one step away from the rim and shoot repetitive shots so that the ball goes 2 or more feet above the rim and nothing but net.
