When you play competitive games, you play on 'competitive' settings for max performance and visibility. Doing it on high/ultra would be handicapping yourself. Unless if you just benchmark for the sake of benchmarking then those would be fine but definitely not 'real world' settings. 👍

@@OverseerPC-Hardware but low settings aint gonna give you max visibility is it.. if you have low fov... your not gonna know whos shooting you from a long distance.. take mw2 dmz in vondal.. low fov is gonna mess up any tactical advantage..

FOV is pretty subjective, and depends on player style. Some use really high whilst some use mid level. I normally have mine at 100-110 depending on the game. People who are used to really high will struggle on mid, and some on mid FOV will struggle with visual information overload on really high FOV, hence why it is Subjective. When I refer to max visibility, I'm referring to easier to distinguish between subject vs foreground/background/shadows.

I upgraded from my 9900x to this 9800x3d. I run a 4080, but I’m getting packet burst like crazy and it was hard freezing my whole pc on bo6, hasn’t froze for awhile but it gets “packet burst and extrapolation” could this be my cpu messing up!”?

packet bursting is a network-related issue, and not hardware 99% of the time. Check wifi connection / Ethernet connection. Bo6 also is having network issues in general, so it could also be that.

@ coincidence of upgrading right before season 1 update or the small updates that have followed i’d assume. I’d keep watch to see what it does over the next few updates and see if your problem persists

Yeah, I agree.. that could just be BO6 Warzone issue related. There are currently hit registration issues, which people have reported too.

i got an rx 470 not with the (D) version and it has 2048 shaders. its a different brand but same looks as that and same price. same problem. what i did was pointing straight a clip fan into the GPU with an open case. helps a lot. it stays at 70 degrees.

I’m upgrading, but decided to go for a 9900x instead of the 9800x3d. I at 4K with DLAA, so gpu bound. So getting a cheaper and more all around cpu makes sense

Hi bro, just a piece of advise. Don't get the 9900X, you'll be gimping yourself. You either get this - amzn.to/4i0pV71 (if you're into gaming+ productivity) Or stick with an 8 core like the 9800X3D / 9700X for gaming. The 9900X and the rest of 900Xs has a 6+6 configuration. So, if you're gaming that utilises 8 cores, it works like a 6 core CPU and then travels to the other side for the two, introducing latency. That's why AMD is discounting these lot. 😉

Good you mentioned that: I have exactly this card from Asus. Only recently I noticed, the hot spot temps go close to 100 degree Celsius, which is awful. Also the fan noise is annoying above 75%. I use msi afterburner and put power limit to 80 %. Hotspot stays at 84 degree then. Performance is good and somehow its alive😂

I'll never forget my 3060 ti, it was my first ray tracing card and ran really well in 1080p. But mine was very very hot, it was an HP model and ran basically as hot as yours. Had to undervolt it AND also do a fan curve on top of that. So glad I'm running something much cooler now, traded that card plus 200 for a 6900 xt earlier this month. It refused to even go past 65 c in cyberpunk, so night and day difference in terms of cooling

Unfortunately, the 5700G is not a true Zen3 CPU.. its a gimped model, with smaller cache. If you swap out to a normal 5700X (or even a 5600), you should gains over what you're seeing on the 5700G (or 5700 non X - which is essentially the 5700G without the iGPU).

Yeah, I don't blame ya.. have had a lot of viewers asking me why their performance wasn't matching. That naming is definitely deceptive from AMD on both 5700G and 5700 non X .. If you can, sell that CPU and get them 5700X, 5700X3D or even 5600 👍

Ofc its still enough wtf, even my old 10900k is enough to push a 4070ti in 1440p, a 12600k has no issues what so ever in running any gpu out there in 1440p-4k, its a 10c16t cpu so its pretty decent in workloads too.

My XFX RX 5700 draws way more power according to AMD software? I wonder if you are losing any performance? I over clocked and undervolt and went from 190ish watts and peaks about 205W to 150ish and peaks about 160W. My core hits 1960HZ peak from 1800Hz stock and memory generally sits about 1800HZ. My processor R5 5600G is set to 4650HZ all core with -25MV offset. My 3200MT ram is set to 3800MT although the timings aren't great, I was testing and will probably drop it back to 3600mt. The manufacturer guarantees 4000mt and it does work manually but I didn't notice much difference if any.

@OverseerPC-Hardware loving the videos, by any chance, are you able to test the difference between the ryzen 5 2600 and your r7 5800x3D with the rx 5700xt? My friend has that cpu and is thinking to upgrade because its holding back his rtx 3070. Just to compare the performance.

This video would be the closest comparison for your friend (maybe slightly worse). Unfortunately, I don't have the 2600, was planning on getting one but haven't had the time to find one and test. Your friend definitely needs an upgrade to at least a Ryzen 5600.

Yeah, you definitely got it right, bro! 😀 You should jump to 5600 bro... I leaped from 3700X to 5600X back then, and it was night and day difference. I lost two cores at the time but the difference in gaming was sooo huge.
