How often can you eat at an all-inclusive resort? As much as you want or is there a time/slot? Is all the alcohol/non alcohol included too? I've never been to one and would like to check it out.

We went to Sandals Ocho Rios several years ago (we are from England) and paid for the best room you can get…a villa with private pool. The first year we went it was amazing…then we went again about two or three years later and it was full of loud rude Americans. We never went again.

@ We went to Tobago but it wasn’t Sandals (we also went to Sandals in Bahamas (Providence) a few years before Jamaica which was quite nice). Personally I would never go to another Sandals resort…it’s not for people who want a luxury experience. The photos and videos Sandals show in their advertising are nothing like the reality. As an aside, I’m not suggesting all Americans are loud and rude…we have our fair share of loud and rude Brits…however I do not choose to spend my vacations/holidays at the same resorts as these types of people.

@ I’m American and know we can be loud, it really depends on the atmosphere. I’ve been to a lot of Sandals Resorts and agree with you, except for the new resorts. Sandals Dunns River and Saint Vincent were awesome and luxury. Might be worth a try for you, but there are so many other options too.

Hi! Great video, thank you. My fiance and I are in our mid 60's and looking at Sandals Montego Bay for our late-life honeymoon in mid-May of this year. The food choices are a good draw as there are American dishes that sound delicious. Our concern is the reviews that the food is cold, the resort dated with room issues, i.e. fans, ants, bugs; the butler service lacks, etc. We are looking to book a butler elite room oceanfront and are concerned to spend a good amount of money on a bad experience. Also, is it wise to use Sandals for airfare or book independently? I really appreciate any insight you can give me as the date is nearing and I've looked everywhere. We just want to eat good food, drink and enjoy the beach in luxury. Thanks!!

Hi Rebecca, We’ve never had cold food, we can help you pick a room that has been recently renovated to avoid issues with that, butlers are mostly great, but on occasion a chat with the butler manager might be necessary, setting expectations on day one helps. Just keep in mind that there's a big difference between opinion and fact, and I don't believe that you guys mention that during your blog, so many people will just go by what you say. and not really look into all of them. My wife and I have been going to Sandals for over 20 years, and we see things a little different than you guys. We did go to the new Dunns River property, and we're going to St. Vincent in November, and we're staying in the over the water villas. beautiful, I'm sure. However, Sandals is "Americanizing" the Caribbean. Ican stay home for that. Last time we were at the Mobay resort, I thought I was in Manhattan. I live 40 miles from Manhattan, so when I'm in the Caribbean, I want nothing like that. i want tiki bars, tiki huts, and all things caribbean. the Sandals 2.0 that's happening, doesn't work for us. Just returned from Sandals Grand Bahamian. Smaller resort but very nice. So far it’s our second fav, behind Beaches T&C (which we love). 2 years ago we went to Sandals Antigua, which wasn’t great (all but 1 restaurant requires dinner reservations and were difficult to get into). Sandals Montego Bay was HORRIBLE … you are not “near” the airport … you are at it! Morning and late evening planes disturbed our sleep. The bees overtook the outdoor bars. Staff was not friendly. Wouldn’t go back there if you paid me.

My wife and I just returned from a Christmas vacation at Sandals/Barbados. What a marvelous experience it was for us! The staff went out of their way to make Christmas special and the bonus for us was that we met the most delightful people to befriend. This was our first Sandals vacation experience and we highly recommend it. We were so enchanted, we booked another Christmas vacation at their Dunn's River/Jamaica resort for next Christmas. Then we stumbled onto this video and found Barbados highly regarded and ranked as well as Dunn's River. Just makes us as inexperienced travelers feel even better about our choices. Thank you for posting this. We will keep you in mind for future Sandals excursions.

I like to think of myself as a palm tree seeking beach bum. The beach at this property is absolutely stunning. The one place I’ve been that surpasses this is in Great Exuma where a former Sandals is being converted into a Beaches resort. It was Sandals Emerald Bay. We actually stayed down the coast from Sandals Emerald Bay at an incredible villa where we had the entire beach to ourselves. It was the most spectacular beach I’ve ever seen. 🏝
