Lol fuck licenses. I could learn architecture on my own in a single day.

Can I get scholars to do master's degree in architecture in Canada?
@gregw.472529 күн бұрын
Hello, I'm trying to find work here in Miami Fl. I have Bachelors Degree from FIU. I'm tired of being exploited by these Architects for one to two years, and I cannot find a stable position. I need some representation, to become an Architect, so I can afford to become an architect? Most these Architects cannot tie there own shoe laces, and hire others to do their own work. I have ten years of construction experience as a carpenter, and ten years of experience as an Architect on Autocad with CD's, and learned Revit as well at college? I want to be apart of an Architectural Union, so I will have a stable carrier?

This Hamburger dude has a point, if only no one had built anything near it there wouldn't have been any problems. The whole metropolis surrounding it must have slipped his attention.

Most architects in US are poor. Architects are like artists, actors, musicians. If they make it they make it otherwise most are struggling financially. Architects in the US are the lowest paid professionals.

This content creator spent half of the video normalizing how common sinking/settling is in homes is, but is frankly IRRELEVANT to this situation. This building was built poorly the end.

This might be a newer addition to the EXAC, but it looks like they are know requiring NECB as yet a third component to the CODE section.

Note that on the RAIC website they stipulate that the printed copy of NBC allowed at the exam is 2015 only. NBC now has a 2020 version but is not yet permitted at the exam. I just spoke with someone at RAIC who said they might be changing this and the 2020 version may be allowed, but will only be decided upon in January or February of 2025.

Also you mentioned needing to know the CCDC documents really well. Do these have to be purchased? How can I easily access them?

Hi there, this is super helpful. I've also heard someone mention the Podcast: Architect Exam Prep. And also might be a good idea to do the OAA Admission Courses prior to writing the exams. I have a couple of questions for you as I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed by thy myriad of content and costs associated: 1. For the RAIC webinars you are referring to something other than the NBCC Part 3 & 9 Bundles for $550 correct? 2. You mentioned that you got these 3 books: Building Construction Illustrated, Architectural Graphic Standards, and Architects Studio Companion. What are the main differences between these books? Would you suggest 1 or 2 that would be the most beneficial? I have Architects' Data by Neufert 3rd edition, It is older, but would you think this could replace any of the 3 (I'm assuming Architectural Graphic Standards)?

I’ve worked with Safdie, as a client with the federal government. He has no understanding of building within a budget. Some buildings have have had to stop without being completed because his designs don’t match the available budget. Truly a failure as an architect.

In other words: Renzo was born already rich and had his path into Architecture market facilitated by his family's business and network. It's a similar thing about Oscar Niemeyer's career. We, architects, need to stop pretending socioeconomic issues don't impact us in our way to turn into relevant designers, like it's easy to reach such level only with talent. It's not only a matter of talent, but also about having opportunities to show it, what not everyone has. Indeed, the majory of us has not.

I wonder if students majoring in architecture learn anything about sacred geometry? Do architects consider sacred geometry when designing plans? This book I read "Sacred Structures Harmonizing Architecture and Energy Flow" by Patrick A. Neal has inspired me to dedicate myself to learning more. Like why aren't the applications of sacred geometry more widely used? Why isn't it incorporated into the code books IRC and IBC? As well as why don't more books talk about the applications of the ancient knowledge step by step like the one I mentioned. Lastly what major textbooks do you all use?
