Hey Ashley, I am a fresh graduate in Architecture from Pakistan. I saw your 12 accredited programs video to apply for a Masters of Architecture, as well. I emailed Dalhousie and Mcgill to confirm this requirement and got the same answer. However, I got a positive response from Ryerson, Carleton, University of Manitoba, University of Calgary, and Laurentian University. University of Toronto, UBC and Waterloo are also giving admissions in Masters to students with 5 year bachelor programs, but I didn't approach them due to the higher fee structure. Hope this helps.

Hi Hammad! Thank you for sharing your findings 😊this is great to know! UBC, UofT and waterloo should also be good, but it's always good to double check. Have you made applications to the schools or are you planning to apply?

hey ashley i saw that UofT's undergrad program only offers a Bachelor's of arts, architectural studies (BAAS) and I was wondering where this degree could be applied to in terms of an accredited master's program.

Hi Ashley! Do you know if there are better chances of getting your education accredited by the CACB if you study something else related to architecture in Canada? (i.e. Architectural Technology). Btw your videos are so helpful, keep it up :)
@architecture_tv2 жыл бұрын
Hi Omlight, thank you 🧡 I don't think you can get accreditation by the CACB if the degree isn't in architecture. It needs to be a professional Master of Architecture or Bachelor of Architecture. Here's a quote from the CACB website "Only graduates of professional degrees in architecture, which may be a Bachelor of Architecture (B. Arch) or a Master of Architecture (M. Arch) degree, are eligible to apply for CACB Certification." and the link to the website: cacb.ca/academic-certification/ . I'll look into doing a video on this.

I have done BBA can I do MArch is it possible?

Hello Ashley, can you explain why a Master's degree is needed for architecture? I mean what was wrong with a B.Arch?? It seems like a money grab!!!
@joegotz19719 ай бұрын
A bachelors degree is better as it is more oriented toward the real world. A masters degree is not necessary in the USA. As a comparison you can get a degree in mechanical and electrical engineering in the same time you can get a bachelor of Architecture, and come out of college making more money.
