I just got my R5 today! Decided the Mk II was overkill, since I only shoot stills and no video. I have used the 100-500 and 200-800 to good effect on my R6 Mk II, and once these batteries charge, I'm really looking forward to seeing how things go with the R5!

how do i deactive the motion controller. cause now i have the rc and the motion. and it only allows me to fly 30meters i have to plug my phone into the headset and start dji fly app to fly more than 30 meters

I would like the Mfn button able to switch between photo and video like the R5 did. It is awkward to have to stop and move your hand to turn to video mode while holding long lens. You miss the action you wanted to capture quickly.

Why would you say that the R3 AF is the same as the R5? No one has said that ever. Hope you do some more testing. The R3 AF is miles ahead of the R5.

Hi Kris great video at the moment. I have a R7 with 100-500 and I am thinking of going for 5:30 the R5 mark ii but I am a bit concerned about the reach as it is a full frame camera I do bird photography wildlife do you think with the 45 mp I will be able to zoom in on your computer so I won’t notice much of a difference as it’s 13 mp then the R7 any advice you could give me would be much appreciated thanks KeithDavies

I saw by doing a google search that there are 12 cameras that have insect AF tracking. I would love this feature! I love macro, and it is hard to track insects. I think that would be an awesome addition. If anyone has tips on setting up the R5M2 to track insects right now, that would be great! I am a little confused on all the AF options available right now on the Mark2.

I am following along with setting up my Mark II. When I get to the 1st red tab of the video settings I am not seeing those options. I only have 3 - 2K-d, 119.9P, and LGOP. I do not have a 4K setting. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

I have no problems stabilizing avata 2 wide recordings using the motion controller in GyroFlow, so I guess that issues are gone.

My R6 ii VF fogged up for the first time last weekend in persistent drizzle. Highly annoying. Its never done it before in any conditions. I'd definitely purchase a R5 ii if I could justify the expense.

I'm confused basically I have plan of getting R6 mark 2 just 4 months used with RF 24-105 4L and RF 100 2.8 + 256 GB card 300MB/s In 3465 USD. On the other hand R5mark2 is 4265 USD. I also don't have any lens. There are 2 options first is buy the 2 lens with R62 or 2nd option is R52 with Rf50 1.8... later on I'll upgrade my lens 24-105.. is it worth to sacrifice more money. I want 4,5 years future safe. If you're in my place what you'll do?? Is it good offer or suggest me any other option!! I don't have any gear now .. I used to have 5dmark3 in 2016... But I changed my field as currently working in the restaurant business industry. I want to target small restaurants and small businesses for social media and products photography, as I have planned to give free 30 sec, 1 min reels for Snapchat, tiktok and Instagram. As someone who has been filming with the Canon C70 for the last few years. I've slowly started integrating the R5M2 into my video shoots and because of it's superior focus system, I may be selling my C70 and just use this camera for all my video work. Clog 2 and internal raw in 8K is amazing. And with a good lighting setup it mimics C70 look pretty well. I can see feature film work being done with this camera-
