Yes, Uber is available there. I don't use Lyft and haven't heard of Grab. In the summer, the population is 50,000, so lots going on. Fewer are there in the winter, so it may be quicker or slower at that time, depending on how busy they are.

The mileage varies from car to car, depending on how it's driven. The maintenance minder will give you a code when it needs it. For ours I think it was somewhere between 60,000-90,000 miles, but I can't remember that far back. As far as sucking it out the dipstick hole, I'm not sure if that can be done.

@MarkDHall Ай бұрын
Hi, sorry for the confusion about the "other" video. I never posted it because the footage wasn’t great. For the 3rd exhaust, the exhaust is the same, but Matt had rebuilt the motor and put headers on it, which is why it sounds so much better. He kept that motor for about a year and then swapped it out for a 350. Here's a link to that video if you want to check it out: kzbin.info7vr_1W8sA7g For this motor, he used long tube headers and replaced the dual exhaust with a 4" custom exhaust that he made himself. The muffler is a Dynomax Ultra Flo.

Really helpful, thank sounds like we can empty and just pour the bottle in, if it is a 3 quart Honda bottle at least. If it had 4 quarts before, I think a few ounces one way or the other won't matter. Oh how many miles to trigger the change code? Thanks.
@MarkDHall
@MarkDHall Ай бұрын
Hi - thanks for watching. For how much fluid to use, you should always go by the dipstick, that way you're putting in the right amount. Be sure to use the correct type of fluid specified in your manual. As for how often to change it, the computer's "Maintenance Minder" code should tell you when it's needed because the mileage can vary depending on how you drive your car. For us, the code came on between 60,000-90,000 miles, but I can't remember exactly when. If you tow your car behind a motorhome or drive in harsher conditions, Honda says to change it more frequently. Your manual will have all that information.

Hi, I’d like to take a day trip to Old Wethersfield, any suggestions on where to stop and places to eat? Looking for classic NEw England Christmas
@MarkDHall
@MarkDHall 2 ай бұрын
Hi! If you're planning to attend this year's event, it will be Thursday, December 5, 2024 at 5PM. Finding a place to eat during the event can be challenging because there's so many people, so I'd plan to eat earlier if you can. If you're visiting on a different day, many of the downtown stores & restaurants are closed on Mondays, so keep that in mind. For restaurants, a few places come to mind. Village Pizza has great pizza and other dishes. Lenoci's is a real Italian restaurant with sandwiches, salads and more. The Charles and Lucky Lou's are higher end and have a good variety of meals. For things to do, the town has some neat things going on. A very popular event is the "Tours by Candlelight," which is hosted by the Webb Deane Stevens museum. The houses are from the 1700s and lit by candlelight and decorated in the Christmas traditions from that era. They also serve treats and refreshments. The tours have a limited schedule. It looks like tickets/reservations are be required, but I think the houses are open for "normal" tours at other times. More info is available online. A people event is the "Homes for the Holidays" tour. It's a tour of 4 private houses and 3 others decorated for the holidays. This event is on December 7. Tickets can be purchased online. Another interesting historical house to visit is Hurlbut-Dunham House, which is decorated for the holidays. They have tours on 12/7-12/8 and 12/14-12/15. I don't know if there's a cost for the tours. The Heirloom Market hosts a "Holiday Pop-Up Shop" throughout the season that looks pretty exciting. I hope this gives you enough into to get started in finding something fun to do. Everything I mentioned can be found online if you're looking for more info. Have a great time when you visit!

What about the GM module retarding with increasing speed ? (MSD module doesn't do it) You need 12 degrees of centrifugal (6 distributor degrees) with heavy springs just to get constant timing at the plug with factory modules.

We don't want the timing to change, that's why we had to lock it. Instead of spending money on a pro-billet distributor and ignition box, we did it this way.

@MarkDHall
@MarkDHall 2 ай бұрын
I heard the owners say they weren't sure what they hit, but the said it might have been a submerged wall. That makes sense because that was a common practice years ago when the banks were heavily farmed. Some of the walls are charted, but many others are not and you only learn of them if you hit them or from word of mouth. We actually hit one once while going down the center of a channel. Thankfully we were going slow, and it only bent the prop a little bit. When we told the dealer, he said, "Oh yeah, everyone knows you have to stay to the edges of that channel. Well, that memo never made it to me. Haha.

Thanks for watching. I'm not a professional videographer and don't get paid to make content for anyone. I just make videos for fun of places we visit. As for Center Harbor, we only visited a couple towns on this trip and didn't stop there. I'm thinking of making a mini series that highlights each of those towns around the lake, but I don't know if the footage I have is good enough. As far as my son, you're correct. He doesn't want to move and said he'd probably stay if we do. We don't live in NH, but we try to visit a few times each year, and he loves the lakes region. I think it would be great to live there, but houses are out of our range. Winter would be tough, but you can always throw on another layer. I think it would be awesome to work at a marina and be close to the lake all year long.

Thank you SO MUCH! It's said to say goodbye, but we can always come back for a vacation. It won't be the same as deciding on Friday night to drive up the next day because the weather looks good, but I'm sure (and hope) we'd come back. And, in some ways it might be more special because it's not something we see on a regular basis and take for granted. I know we'll find new places to explore and build new memories, and I'm excited about the possibility of sharing those on KZbin too. We're heading to Florida and have family there, and ever since we first visited, I said I would love to live there - yes, even with the hurricanes. You just have to know what could happen and be safe. When I was younger, I never understood why people would spend summers in one place and winters in another, but now I totally get it. We're not ready to retire yet, but maybe when that time comes, we'll be able to get a place in NH so we can have the best of both worlds. Than you again!

I wanted to add that I love the name of your channel. You can learn so much just by observing things in your own backyard. It might be weird, but I love squirrels. We had a squirrel that used to come to our house for a couple years every time we went outside. We called him Jimmy, and he had an innate sense of knowing when we'd be outside. If my son was working on a car, and we were out there for awhile, Jimmy would plop down on our steps or lay down in the shade and watch us. We never petted him or anything like that, but for whatever reason he felt comfortable hanging out around us, and we learned so much by watching him. He instinctively knew when a hawk was flying overhead and would totally change his behavior. Sometimes he'd hide in the bushes, and other times he'd lay down on our gray steps (not sure how he knew they were gray) and flatten himself out like a pancake so he was camouflaged and less visible. It was fascinating to watch. It made me appreciate squirrels and want to learn more about them. Unfortunately, Jimmy hasn't been around since winter, but we're hoping he met a friend and they're off playing together in another neighborhood.

I totally agree 100%. It's sad because so many areas are getting unaffordable. We looked at relocating to NH near Lake Winnipesaukee, but the houses are SO expensive. We don't want anything big, but a small place 15-30 miles from the lake is $400K, and if you want water access but not be directly on the lake, it's $1M, and if you want waterfront, it goes up from there.

Thank you so much for the thoughts. I think you would definitely love it, especially if you enjoy the outdoors and a laid back style vacation. We could definitely take a vacation there, and I like to hope that we'll visit again. We just wouldn't be able to go multiple times a year and do the quick, last minute trips where we decide to head up the night before. I know we'll make new memories when we move, but to me, NH is perfect - well, maybe with a bit less snow and cold. That's why, when I made my video of the area, I called it, "Lake Winnipesaukee - Is it Heaven?" because that's what it seemed like to me. My family loves the area too, but they really don't like winter and say that NH will basically be CT but colder and snowier.

The only downside is, you have to drive to wherever you want to go, whereas with The Inn properties, you can park your car and walk to almost everything in Meredith. You still have to drive if you want to go to Weirs Beach or other areas. I'd also check out Wolfeboro. This is an amazing town with a great downtown.
