In Hungary and Croatia we still have payphones. In Croatia they are card operated and in Hungary they are coin and credit card operated. In Croatia telephone cards are available in notes of 2,10, 3,98 and 4,29 euros.

It would have been a fantastic video if they'd used the staff from the branch I worked at. I'd have cast John Phipps (oorright then?) as the field tech and Celine Donnelly as the lovely receptionist, John Haylett as the Hi-Tech tech and fat John as the missing manager. Because whenever there was a grumpy customer (every day) he would go missing.

I have visited Weymouth many times and wondered about the tracks, but this year I saw that they have been removed, so many thanks for your video footage showing what used to be there.

He actually got very lucky. It's not uncommon to have the axles damaged on those and the wheels ripped off altogether.

Normal, if you run your car's air conditioner you'll always get water dripping under car , it's normal It's just condensation being removed from your car.

As the Dockyard finally closed in 1986, what used the railway line after that date?
@grahamcook92892 ай бұрын
I never understood why they went to the trouble and expense of replacing the railway bridge over the Lower Rainham Road, when the line was already no longer in use. Crazy waste of money.
@grahamcook92892 ай бұрын
The tracks could still be used to run a driverless shuttle train between Gillingham station and the ever expanding housing area around the Asda. As in London's Docklands light railway.

Not former Chatham Docks, but former Chatham RN Dockyard. Big difference. Chatham docks is now the commercial eastern basin of the former RN Dockyard.

If it wasnt for the water in the pit these couldve in theory been restored and in operation again since the machine room and cables look in good shape but the water probably ruined alot of equipment anyway
