Nope, it involves the front deltoid as well. Keeping the elbow backward focuses on the bicep.

@@nikolicdanieleven if the front delt is involved to 10-20% its not rly much of a difference, its like using momentum/back with the last couple reps, i dont see a issue with it.

While standing up, it does, yes. But doing that also puts your shoulder at pressure while also maximizing tension on the biceps which makes you curl significantly lower weight with no real benefit. On an incline curl however, letting your shoulder actually takes the attention of the biceps since it won't be strechted as much and it'll help you curl the weight but not in a way that we want. It should be done on the last few reps after technical failure.

You cannot work a PART of a muscle fiber. This depends on the insertion of yoir muscle on the tendons. Hope this helps.

I’m recovering from surgery after a distal biceps tendon rupture, so watching this makes me incredibly uneasy…. Im doing supinated curls with 4Kg weights at the moment (slowly) but can barely do an unloaded pronated curl without lots of forearm pain… the immobility and resultant muscle stiffness and pain after the surgery has been the biggest thing to overcome with rehab. Hoping to be back doing weighted curls and pull ups soon! Your post is motivating. Cheers.

You can, but sooner or later you will have to implement refeed days so you will not lose too much muscle mass.

@@Islamic_content532 I suggest you lose fat first then start with lean bulk. To lose weight shoot for a 10-15% caloric deficit. For example, if your maintenance level is at 3000 kcal, start with 2700 kcal/daily. Hit the gym 3-4 times a week and incorporate cardio gradually. If you're not sure how to calculate your caloric intake check one of my last videos where I explain how you can do it.
