A discount Sha Na Na. But I love it. When Crazy Eddie's expanded to Philly in the mid-1980's, this is one of its commercials I remember.

I was in my teens when this commercial first aired, but I think it's the best DOOWOP commercial EVER, and I've never seen any commercial match it, not even to this day! 🤣😂😆

I remember this commercial when I was a little kid late at night watching shows like Don Kirshner’s rock concert and Wolfman Jack hosting The midnight special. I saw this commercial so many times I clearly remember, singing along just like any song on the radio. Such sweet memories….❤❤❤ thank you for posting this

The commercials were great. Ran into Joey Ramone a couple of times at the store on 8th and 6th Ave. He was picking up Atari video games. But the store was shit. I bought a boom box there for $75. Took it out of the box and all the knobs fell off. Brought it right back to the store like 30 minutes after I bought it and they wouldn’t take it back. So, surprised the asshole got arrested? Nope. But I laughed my ass off

Recorded maybe in 78 but the commercial itself dates to the early 70s or maybe even the late 60s since it shows a pre-renovated Yankee Stadium. The library music was used as the theme in the pilot episode of the "Don Adams Screen Test" game show.

I remember this commercial from when I was a kid growing up in New York. I always wondered and still do to this day... were those guys really singing or were they just lip syncing? And if they were really singing, are they Doo Wop performers from any well known groups? Always wondered that.
@TheSmart-CasualGamer2 жыл бұрын
These guys are surprisingly good singers, does anyone know if they were an actual group, or just some randos that Crazy Eddie's picked up.

I remember when this commercial first came out in the late 70s, and it's one of those songs you just can't get out of your head every once in awhile, even though the owner got into legal trouble it was still a very cool song, like a Billy Joel Innocent Man album, for all these old classics

I bought a portable cassette player at the 8th street 6th Avenue store. Brought it out to the car and took it out of the box and the knobs on it were all broken. I brought it back to the store immediately and they wouldn’t accept a return. So when they got busted I had the last laugh. Still love the commercials though but a shitty business. Then came The Wiz and they allowed you to return everything
