I'm going to go against the grain here and recommend you don't get a cardo. The software is extremely clunky and does not function well between iPhone and Android users.

Is there a way to get the mic to pickup more of the outside audio, like the motorcycles audio. wonder if you can do something in the Cardo app to make it pickup outside audio?!

the GoPro has 4 audio streams when connected to bluetooth, these are split into 2 stereo channels, 1 pair from the internal GoPro mics, and one pair from bluetooth. you can choose what you want to use in post production, but if you choose a mix of both you'll need to sync the bluetooth audio tot he internal camera audio as the bluetooth introduces latency.

Could you confirm if the Freecom 4x is only IP65 rated? The Cardo website says it is. It's surprising that the Freecom 2x is IP 67, but the 4x is IP65.

Ys, 4x is ip65, 2x is ip67 Not sure why, the 6 is the dust ingress protection, where the 5/7 is the level of water ingress protection, given the 2x and 4x look almost identical I can’t see a reason for the difference.

You could use any of the line up from cardo. and all work with standard plugin headphones. however you might want to look at the Outdoor range of products as they do a set specifically for SXS.

As all reviewers you did not test the Chigee with Android Auto? Otherwise you would have mentioned Chigee does not support Voice Control yet in Android Auto while using a Bluetooth headset😉 (Chigee says they are working on it though)

Thank you for the nice comparison video. I was looking for exactly this because my recent cheap chinese comm gave out so was looking to upgrade to a better unit. I am a solo rider who listens to music on the go and at times gps directions or phone calls. In my setup, the device and the phone, both are connected to the motorcycle to use the hand controls. Which one out of the freecom 4x and Neo would be better. I am looking for battery life plus good speakers and good Bluetooth signal strength, because I have noticed that the Bluetooth signal on my motorcycle is very flaky to a point that if I tilt my head to the left, it starts cutting off. Also is the warranty same on the freecom 4x vs Neo vs Edge?

There could be an issue with the module in your bike. That said, I don’t think you can go wrong with a Packtalk Neo. I don’t use bike integrated Bluetooth as i have never owned a bike with it.

Very cool looking Scoot and a cracking good piece of road to give it a bit of work out. Haven't been across the Rimutaka Rd in awhile, will have to make a plan and get my NT across it. Was that first section on the Akatarawa's? "Come on lil Italjet you can dooooooo it" love it, lol. Was expecting to see some knee action Ray, hehehe. Scooters are a blast, not fast enough to get ya in trouble but just fast enough to keep a silly grin on and lots of chortling to one's self.

I just put mine in and it sounds good audio wise listening to music and calls but for some reason when I turn up or down my volume it will static for a moment each time. Any idea what could be the reason for that?

Great video. I'm tied to the Sena because I have their Firewire but wanted to see the difference between the two. Water resistance is a concern. How do you feel about using some dielectric grease on the contact pad?

@@MotoNZ Dielectric grease is that stuff on the end of light bulbs from your car (or bike) to keep water out and it from corroding. The Firewire is a dongle that converts Harleys system to wireless. They have one for the Goldwing also. I did call Sena tech and they said no problem using dielectric grease.

Wonderful video review! 😍 I just purchased the Moto Morini Seiemmezzo SCR (Colbalt Slate). 2 rides in and I love it. Tires are amazing on turns and the bike handles really well in tight situations. I am a big guy too (6'1" 220 lbs) and at first, I thought the bike was too small for me. Nope. It's just right. Plus, the 6 Gears makes this "naked" bike fly. And as others have mention, the sweet Italian design is eye catching. All my friends thought it was a Ducati when they first saw it. Thank care and thanks again for the great video.

That's a stupid design in too many ways. The traditional step through design with flat platform and storage space - sacrificed for dumb redesign for who knows what. Engine on the swingarm - holy massive unsprung weight.

Great video but as a rider who had done 1000's of miles without these my question is how do they compare to noise canceling apple airpods or samsung eaeplugs (which i use). Tbe samsung is my goto for basic noise cancelation from helment wind, then as extra benefit i can do music etc. Does a cardo install have noise cancelation to remove the need for earplugs or is it for very very quite helme ts.

No Cardo does noise cancellation, they have speakers, not ear plugs. They are for listening to music and communications in helmet. I’ve never been able to keep airbuds in my ears when putting my helmet on…. Cardo speakers are installed in the lining of the helmet so no need to worry.
