How breathable is it? I rarely wear a suit as I work in a science lab. But would be something that I could need for more formal dinners and such.

Very breathable, it’s meant for hotter weather and the fabric is thin but still tough and durable.

I own two coats and it is, by far, the best brand in the U.K for that style and that quality at that price. Too often, websites are quite cheap when describing their products, the provenance of each part and the detailed composition of the cloth. SEH Kelly treats every single piece as if it were the sole one they sell. Furthermore, they make their clothes with the finest craftsmen / mills in the U.K. At an age when labour work cannot always meet the impact on the planet, I just cannot see what other companies to use if you like their style.

I used to buy designer brands like Prado when they first started making slimmer suits and and jackets. But now with faster fashion brands making the same cuts at a fraction of the cost, I feel I’m just as happy with brands like Uniqlo. I just got a used Uniqlo slim fit blazer off eBay and it fits me perfect and it’s like 70% wool. So I’m gonna another Uniqlo new slim fit Uniqlo off eBay that like 98% wool to match the same material pants I have already and hopefully make a suit. I prefer getting higher wool content vs an all polyester if possible from these fast fashion brands to hopefully have something that will last longer.

That’s a fair point about shooting for wool, I definitely agree but I live the everyday wear durability of polyester. It’s also so much easier to care for so, in my case, when I am trying to slim my wardrobe down to a few key pieces, I choose polyester.

THese chino shorts are ill fitting. Way too big. Makes the legs look like skinny sticks. An unflattering look. Not exited with the untucked shirts with loafers, makes the model look homeless. As an aside, If you are going to photoshoot, pay attention to the background. This one is much too busy. Ditch the plants, knick knacks, and the messy dangling wires.

It is great to see when people have different styles, even if they are different from our personal style making us open to how others express themselves. I am not really a shorts person (although it’s very common in Australia during summer) and have only one pair of white cotton shorts. I pair these with light muted pastel colors such as yellow, cream, and blue (with interesting textures and patterns such as, seersucker, knitted, linen, herringbone, and stripes) for a slight nautical look. Otherwise, I prefer relaxed-fit linen trousers that have a lovely drape and are also cooling. I agree that the beige chino shorts can go with any colour and is versatile and would be my second choice if I were to purchase another pair of shorts.

Me personally not sure if I would wear a tie unless it was maybe a more casual knit tie. But even so the way that these chinos fit are larger and more wide fitting then I would wear for super formal. Another good option would be the Airsense Shorts from Uniqlo, they are a more formal pair of shorts that could work well dressed up more.

You have to check out the Uniqlo airsense 7” shorts they are the best. So comfortable and light they look a little more dressy but you can wear them with anything a tee shirt, a polo or a button down. They are perfect it’s all I wear in the summer. Also they wash really well keep their shape and you don’t have to put em in the dryer just hang them up and they dry really fast.

Thank you for this video. I used to buy $500 dollar suits for my jazz gigs and when my current one got too old I decided to give the Uniqlo suit a go because of your recommendation. Amazing ! Perfect fit, so easy to keep clean, always looks like you just ironed it... Just incredible. It's not the fanciest but it looks so professional. More people should know about them. And also: I can dance like crazy in it !! :D

This reminds me of when I mended a hole in my light blue seersucker shirt, which is 7 years old and still looks new. I also enjoy replacing buttons on shirts and coats with more interesting ones like horn or mother of pearl, adding a unique personal touch. I like the idea of how mending is about embracing the beauty of imperfection, making small repairs to clothing you already own so that you can wear it for longer. It rejects the idea that newer is better and adds a bit of character while you're at it.

This is a great video. Deserves more views. A suit makes wardrobe so much easier. Get something good and comfortable. In my opinion it's best to look good while not standing out. If you want to simplify your wardrobe a decent suit is as versatile as it comes. Invest in complimentary shirts and ties. Goodwill for shirts and ties. Shooting fish in a barrel

Hey! I am 5’8” but I got these hemmed to my specific inseam. In their website or in store, they allow you to get them tailored to your specific inseam length. You may be thinking of the ankle pants which are most of their pant styles. These are regular fit, not ankle length, and. One in standard 34” inseam which you can have altered to fit you.

Even though I work out at home an agree with you however I believe some people may go to the gym to meet potential partners who are also interested in taking care of them selves. And it probably is a better place to meet people than going to a bar. So I can see wanting to look presentable and not like a slob but you don’t need to spend a lot to do that. Maybe making a video on how to look good at the gym without breaking the bank might be a good thing to do.

Hey! That’s a great point and maybe I will make a video about this. But ultimately I believe that what matters most is your physique. You can be super fit and wearing the ugliest clothes and still make them look decent. But you can’t be super unhealthy and unfit and wear the nicest clothes and make them look good. While I agree with you I think that clothes are used to conceal short comings and make you look attractive and so I can see why people would sometimes want to wear specific gym clothes. Especially if you’re trying to elevate your social circumstances. But I think you could help find a balance that keeps you looking attractive without wasting unnecessary coin. Gym clothes from Uniqlo or Walmarts free assembly clothes line come to mind

Love linen, I have a shirt that was bought in 2009 in Italy, it still looks brand new, I have acquired several over the years, ( 6 ) just love wearing them during summer, I purchased a linen suit 3 years ago, dark blue, with a pink linen shirt, looks really smart. Down side to my linen shirts is that I have to have them cleaned in the fall at the cleaners, it costs, as they get put away for the following year.

If you have access to sunshine and fresh air, hang up your clothes outside on a hanger our draped over a clean rail or chair. Sunshine itself will break down odors and bacteria. A blanket, bedspread or pillows left outside for a day will benefit as well. A leather jacket turned inside-out will freshen it up after frequent wearing or after sitting in a closet for months. Go for the stainless steel version, preferably the 40/41 mm version, especially if you don’t have big wrists, pair it with a classic leather or metal armband and use a classic minimalistic looking watch face like Meridian or Californian with just the date complication. This combination is quite stylish looking and can be worn in more formal situations without looking off compared to classic analog watches. That is my opinion…

Great points. Thanks for sharing. Spot cleaning and airing my clothes with a cedar wool & cashmere spray (any clothes freshner spray will do) has been a helpful way to reduce my need to frequently wash clothes and extend their shelf life. The only things that are hand washed, if I am honest, are wool or cashmere sweaters. Although it takes more time than a washing machine, they are still in great condition with no stretching or color fading. A good steaming and removing some pills from time to time makes them look as good as new. It's nice that some washing machines have the wool hand-wash cycle option as well. This may be unavoidable, but I leave dry cleaning as a last option, for example, if a coat or heavy knit sweater cannot be spot cleaned. This is because I thought that dry cleaning deteriorates the fibers and reduces the longevity of the garment, even if it is solution-based and not using water. But I guess it depends on how frequently a garment is dry cleaned.

Hey, thanks so much for watching! In total agreement with you, I only really hand wash a few pieces that I own, not necessarily the t-shirt that I did in this video, that was only for the video haha. I agree with you on the dry cleaning aspect, it can be damaging if done too much so I also spot clean my dry clean only pieces often to avoid taking them to the cleaners. Depending on the cleaner and the solution that they use though, it can be less harmful for your clothing and help with color retention over the long run. Appreciate your time!!

@@Tim.Traveler That's understandable! as I mentioned in the video, you can iron out the wrinkles for maybe a day of wear, but they will always come back. For me, I embrace the wrinkles, especially when wearing linen in a more casual sense.

I ditched my Apple Watch and went back to non smart watches The Apple Watch did my head in because updates were ruining my experience and causing me anxiety so that’s why I’ve ditched my smart watch for a non-smart watch or an old school and watch I love it Smart watches are not for me For example, one annoying issue had with the Apple Watch in the end was Weather was not showing the correct city that was on the phone to the Apple Watch. It wasn’t syncing properly. It really annoyed me so that’s why I ditched it to be honest and I haven’t looked back I love traditional watches, Smart watches aren’t the best for me

I like to use small red cedar wood blocks as a natrual repellent for my sweaters to keep the moths away. The stain remover stick is a great idea and will also carry one. Thanks for sharing.

Great video, very insightful. Likewise, linen has become a staple in the warmer weather. I have 2 mid weight navy and stone linen trousers relaxed fit which has a lovely drape (still looking great after 5 years of multiple wear), a light blue linen sports coat and a light beige linen suit and a beige linen shirt.

@@moderntrend2981Sounds great. The trousers are 100% linen 280GSM sourced from Britain. Because of the weight, it drapes quite nicely and does not wrinkle as one would imagine. The high waist and double pleat ensure extreme comfort and an interesting design feature. The cut is classic and relaxed, resembling tailored trousers, with the lines following the natural shape of the leg. So it can be dressed up a bit. I think the black linen trousers would work with your capsule.

Biggest reason being I use it for working out a lot and the silicone band that comes standard is so each to care for as opposed to the leather. It’s definitely an option but I would say the biggest defining factor of a watch is the main body. Great call out though!!

The term "suit" comes from the medieval knights' suits of armour. Any knight worth his spurs had a suit of armour in his wardrobe. Fast forward to today, and any gentleman worthy of the term has to have at least one suit in his armoury - ready for battle at a moment's notice.

I’m not to sure what you mean by this? It reads heart rate no matter what based off of the sensors at the back of the watch I believe it that is what you’re referring to.

I love them. Although the price is high, the quality is higher. Buy less but buy long term with better quality and ethics. If you have the right body size, these minimalistic basics will get you lots of compliments (if cared well) thanks to their impeccable cut, fabrics and colors. It litterally is Quiet Luxury in the casual workwear register : not a luxury shouting 'Hey, look at me!' in an off-putting way but rather presenting itself politely, enticing closer inspection of its refined character and tailoring. While all their pieces coordinate greatly, I sometimes find that the total look can veer into dated and overly thematic territory; not so simple, casual or descrete anymore depending on who you are and where you live.

Totally agree about quality over quantity. I’d rather spend more on pieces that I truly care about and will last me a while then less on pieces that I won’t care about in a month and will deteriorate within a year or less. To your point as well, I agree that some of the pieces are overly thematic, especially some of the pants I noticed. Thanks for watching!
