When did they change them from 1300w to only 1k?

Fuel instructions read 90 octane or above, or you'll mess up the engine. You used 87 octane. You were supposed to use 4 cycle engine oil, not vehicle engine oil, 20 ounces, and also in the instructions. If it stops operating, you did not follow thoroughly on the instructions. That's what engineers get paid for. Through trial and error, they know what works and what fails. Then folks like you complain that the equipment is not working and junk. How do I know I'm an electrical/mechanical engineer and have this field mower.

It is very impressive that you measured the noise of the amplifier with good result. Once I asked ARRL Lab to do the same with A filter, not yet tested.

Just change the 10dB Flange Attenuator to a 3dB (maybe 10-15USD on Ebay) and you will get the max output easy with less then 5W from your 705. The Gain of this LDMOS is +/- 25dB and only restricted because of this stupid 15dB max gain FCC rule

How would you use this amp with an automatic antenna tuner ? say the mfj 998 ? Would i just not activate the the ptt line when tuning ? Is the trx antenna line in a pass thru mode then ?

I am going to try to fix it. I ordered the little parts from Amazon. On one of the comments says Liftmaster/Chamberlain will warranty these till 8/22 which is true, I called them and they will send me a new one but they are on backorder. So in the meantime I will try to fix ours. Thanks for the video!!!

Been to your ProjectsINT site and did see one that you did at low power, but still to a dummy load. I expect to receive my fully assembled one tomorrow and will excite it with a Yaesu FTDX-101D. What type of solder iron did you use for this. I have a 60W solder station (Weller) but I'm thinking I'll need something with more power and curious if you could comment on what you used.

Tube amps have suddenly become abundant and cheap.

Man tube amp for me. Not that I don't think this is cool as hell! But can't afford solid state.

I also another 5-Watter, the ELAD FDM-DUO, and the Mercury IIIS seems to be an even better match for the shack. I would love to hear any other thoughts you may have since you released the video.
