One way I describe the difference between pseudoscientists and scientists is imagine you want to build the best armor a super armor maker will do whatever they think is cool and bring it to other people who only care about how cool it is and they'll graded by how cool it looks and then complain that the armor enthusiast community is against it because they don't like cruel armor and that armors actually better well the people who are the real armor makers will build a set of armor and then try to destroy it to see what it could take and to see if it's actually good armor

Basically every light you listed about what makes it fake science can be applied to everything mainstream medicine pushes, and saying it’s not there because it claims the medical community blocks it for profit is ridiculous. That isn’t how truth works. And also you’re wrong, the mainstream medical community is run by greedy psychopathic selfish profit mongers who would murder anyone they need to in order to make more money. And tons of doctors and researchers support that label anyone who challenges them and tries to stop them from murdering people for profit as just some weirdo. Many doctors and researchers who are subsidized by drug and food companies and many heads of pharmaceutical and food companies should be charged with crimes against humanity. Their death tolls are immense and far outweigh any saved by the medical community. They are a cartel and a crime cabal. Not admitting to that fact won’t change it being true. They’re murderers, arrogant selfish murderers and the good ones among them typically end up black listed and their voices drained out by the profiteers and the dogmatic.

Calling a thing false science doesn’t mean it is. The mainstream medical community pushes a lot that doesn’t really have any evidence and the peer reviewed process is hilariously bad. Many have tested it and found anything can get published even if it has glaring errors. So I don’t really trust people just saying a thing is fake science when I don’t think they have any backing to say that and their sources are often bad. Multiple scientists wrote and submitted papers with basic biology errors purposefully put in and practically none of the papers found these errors. They had an eighty percent success rate getting published. A guy tested that in the nineties and it’s been tested over and over by others. And if you add some woke garbage in it doesn’t matter how insane the paper is they’ll publish it. Bash dudes or push some other woke agenda and you’ll get published. The universities are a woke joke. A few guys reworded Hitler’s book slightly to fit woke doctrine and the universities loved it. If you make it sound like it has the ideology they want then the topic or accuracy hardly matters to them. Most people called quacks are just people who threaten the mainstream medicine communities’s dogma and who therefore must be labeled and demonized so they can be dismissed. I don’t think the main goal of mainstream medicine is to help but rather to keep people sick so they can profit. Not every functional health person is great and some may be corrupt but it pales in comparison to the immense corruption and horrible study quality of the legal drug dealers who make billions on the suffering of people.

YES YES YES YES YES. I LOVE food. I love how it makes me feel, I love how it keeps alive and, with some right choices, it keeps me healthy. It does NOT mean pressure to eat any particular food group, to stay away from any food groups (unless medically necessary), and most definitely not to vilify any foods that can be enjoyed by any living person. Let's normalize eating and living to our best ability and making good choices where we can... but also forgiving ourselves for our bad choices when they do happen.

Absolutely love this! Social media can sometimes distort our perception of food. I love the gentle reminder that meals can be simple and prioritize nourishment.

People usually just try for there meals to look they would be social media worthy and try like things they don’t usually have they try to make a nice and big meal

I find it’s usually a result of diet culture or fad cultures videos. I’ve known people that hate the taste of kale but videos parading it as a superfood and a must have in your diet and that ‘if you don’t like it, you’re not preparing it right’, they’d put it onto their plates to feel like they were doing ‘right’ despite the fact they hated kale and were miserable everytime they ate it or had it with their food. Of course this is just one example of many (açai bowls, avocado toast, etc), of people being warped by social media fads and unsustainable lifestyles paraded by (most of the time) rich individuals.

It was so good to hear your approach to neurodiversity and ARFID. I’m in Australia and I have been able to find any neuro-affirming support or advice for my son so just trying to figure it out on my own. We have gone through all the “standard” things recommended by professionals and they’ve only made things worse for him
