I'm disappointed that the acorn + NutSac logo option has been cancelled. I have not used my Sling Plus yet. Reviews of the sling are mixed, mostly due to size. It seems it suits some people very well, but many people need something bigger and buy this because of its quality materials and workmanship, only to find it is too small. I see it as an alternative to their standard satchels as it is a similar size.

This video popped up on my suggested list and had to subscribe after watching. We carry most the same products and live a similar lifestyle. One thing that has really helped me, is i have attached the Olight imini 2 two the zipper of my bags. Works really well for when you’re trying to see in your bag at night or in low light conditions.

@@chezhayz we must have more common than we know! If you look closely at the pouch in the video briefly, I showed the back of it and I actually have a Olight imini 2 attached to it. I love that little guy because it’s so easy to charge it up via the USB while driving around. And you’re right, it’s easy to just pop it off the magnet for a quick light if you drop something underneath the seat. Thanks for watching and thanks for subscribing!

The Worksharp Guided Field Sharpener is on of the most useful and well-designed products out there. Cool Aries knife. I’d love to get a CRK (I keep holding out hopeful they’ll make an Insingo Umnanzaan). Good list of gear. FYI, I heard from Florida, he seems to be well.

I’m definitely with you on that buying the one premium item you really want is probably cheaper in the long run because you’re probably gonna end up getting it eventually and you can skip a bunch of steps, plus if you had to sell it it’s probably easier and you’ll probably recovery a bigger proportion of your money (and without a bunch of smaller transactions).
@stevesgear

A Insingo Umnanzaan would be nice! I’m glad he is doing well. I miss old Florida.

I was always scared to pay premium prices. But I realized if it’s what I really like and I buy that item less overall, it’s just better for me. That’s a good point about resale too. Thanks for watching Cap!

Very thoughtful presentation. It appears we have similar philosophies regarding our EDC paraphernalia, although I do seem to have a bent for collecting things. I've managed to accumulate (I think it's) nine different Nutsac bags, pouches and slings and I use them all regularly. I am also a fan of Open Sea's Leather, having purchased two of their wallets...the Houbei 2.0 and their Topsider Billfold. The Topsider, by far, sees the most carry time. Knives are also a fascination of mine and I've managed to accumulate more than a few, but truth be known, the only knives that I carry are an old small three bladed Buck folder that has been in my pocket for well over 30 years and the blades on the Leatherman Multi-Tool that I carry on a pretty regular basis. The rest of the collection seems to be for show and not much else. Thanks for a very interesting video and ...have a great day!
@stevesgear
@stevesgear 18 күн бұрын
Sounds like we are a little bit similar. Nothing wrong with using that buck folder if it’s what you like. I understand the feeling of some knives being a little bit more for show. I have a hard time beating up some of the nicer ones. Thanks for the great comment, and for watching!

@@paula_films_things you are welcome! I actually just took this bag on a trip to South America and it did amazing! Used it as a carry on, and throughout the travels. CruWear is great, one of my faves. I have a Para 3 in CruWear with smooth G10 handles from 2018 that was my only "user" for quite awhile. Easy to sharpen and maintain with good edge retention. I have a PM2 Crucarta and kinda want this one as well, but not a fan of the price gouging these days so I'm not really looking to duplicate models unless it's on sale.

I bought mine several years ago. It's not eveven close to my favorite SAK. The scales are more slippery than I'm comfortable with and the back springs often make opening some of the tools a real female dog. This my first alox tool. It will likely be my last.

I can understand that, but I actually like the feel of the scales. Personally, I’m kind of fond of the wood ones.
