Why didn't you turn the plate out? No wonder you were so concerned about bubbles. If you use the other side there are never any bubbles as the rise to the side you are using.

You don't take the deli plate out of the pan? How do you store the plate?
@ncatcreate
@ncatcreate 2 ай бұрын
No, I just keep it in the tray and print on the top. I store the tray in a cupboard covered with another upside down tray. I find it lasts longer if you never expose the base of the plate. When the top is worn out though, I do then take it out and print on the base. When it is really tatty, I just reconstitute it. (there is another video on reconstituting and general troubleshooting that you can check out. Good luck!

I have watched a lot of videos re this method. I use gelatin and glycerine to make my own moulds. The glycerine is just to stop it from going mouldy. No need for all the slow process that you are following unfortunately. I put in one half cup of gelatin and one quarter of glycerine and just mix the two together in a glass jug, then I add my hot water out of the tap as much as I want. Mix up and let settle for a few minutes. I then go over the top with paper towels like you did to get rid of bubbles. Put jug in freezer for a few hours. Then I put in microwave at 50 percent at 3 to 5 minutes until mixture is all dissolved and you can pour into your tray. If this mixture is not enough for a tray just increase the measurement but no need for all the slow stirring etc.

Hi Ecky. It lasts really well if the tray you pour it into is super clean and scratch free, and, if you do not remove it from that tray. Areas can go a little mouldy where there are rust or scratches in the tray. I just cut them out and re constitute the mix.

Hi,Many thanks for your video. Your gelatin plate video is the easiest to understand. But ,I failed . I'm Japanease. And I'm poor in English. I'm afraid if I can explain it well. When I tried your recipe ,I changed little bit. You tell 80g gellatin powder, but I put 100g. That why I found someone put 115g insted 80g. My gellatin plate is something wrong. All paint come off from gellatin plate. I couldn't Gelli Print Image Transfer- at all. All paint transrate on paper. Was this a matter of the amount of gellatin? Do you have any other ideas for my trouble?
@ncatcreate
@ncatcreate 2 жыл бұрын
I am not sure - It sounds like it may be the excess gelatine. The more you put in the stiffer and less sensitive the plate will be. You could watch the reconstituting a gelatine plate video on my channel and add more water to make it more sensitive. Good luck!

Hi, my plate uses144grms of gelatine, One bottle ie 200ml of Gelatine, 400ml of hot water. small amount of cold water to mix the gelatine to begin with. hope that helps. The nice thing with this product - if it hasn't worked once set you can chop it up into cubes and reheat in dish in warm/hot water and try again. put it in the fridge to shrink slightly over night and then take it out of the tray next day : ) ©JHeyes.All rights reserved.
