Love all the beauty! But.....1 mistake....hydrogen peroxide needs to be in a dark container ...putting it in the clear container ruins it effectiveness...just letting peeps know...don't put ur peroxide in anything light can get to it!!!

Wow an idea that actually works. Cheers from the land of oz. I remember in the 80/90's a cream cheese manufacturer made containers without thread for a lid so you got a perfect 200/250ml glass out of it. Can't find them now, maybe the glass manufacturers got upset?

My two favorite jars are spaghetti sauce jars and the jars containing spaghetti cheese. I have even froze in the sauce jars. The sp. Cheese jars, I use for baking soda. 1 in the frig. 1 by sink to scour tea & coffee stains. The sauce jars are e3 handy in my swing room.

Soak in a bucket of hot water with baking soda added. They will glide right off.

If you are going to use this method, please reuse the water. There are many other ways to do this without water.

Is there a way to remove the tamper proof adhesive still on the top of a plastic jar from food item jars, such as peanut butter jars?

Peroxide denatures when exposed to light. This is why it is always sold im a dark or opaque container. I would move it to a dark stained container if i were you

coming from someone who used all the methods, the most effective method for glass jars is the boiling method: get a bowl big enough for your jars and let it boil label side down using the water from the pot to weigh the jars down, within 5mins you'll come back and see the labels are peeling away {remember glass only as plastic will melt} works for the sticky residue too this method is the best as its the easiest and less work and water {cus you dont hv to individually fill them etc}, after boiling just simply wash with soap and use them

After having watched some of your videos, it is obvious that you are a perfectionist. But, that's not necessarily a fault. After all, wouldn't you want your brain surgeon to be as much. none the less, be careful not to succumb to OCD or you will go CRAZY e.g. continually straightening all of the pictures. I would NOT REUSE any plastic containers. The research on microplastics getting into your body is disturbing. Get glass, if you have a choice.

I find when done with the jar I will... 1) put all the wasted extra bottles(non smashed) because like 10 i think some states pay like aluminum cans 5 to 8 cents a pound or w.e. and trade for cash.. or.. 2) smash it and throw it away because i mean its chump change not a bad idea just tedious and yeah potentially profitable

Step 1. Clean out containers (try to not get paper labels wet) Step 2. Fill container with hot water, let sit for a few minutes 3:30 Gloss plastic label, cold/wet storage (juice bottles, soap/shampoo bottles, etc) 4:09 Single line adhesive, wrapped plastic label (easy mode) 4:43 Paper label, damp 6:16 Deli container 8:15 Removing stubborn paper stuck from label removal 11:47 Removing date ink

If you leave the baking soda and oil on and let it sit for 10-20 minutes you won’t have to circular scrub. It will come off way easier

Far too complex.... I just spray a bleach solution into and on the outside bottles and jars, let them sit for a few minutes in the sink and then scrape off the lables and glue . The bleach disolves mist glues and also sanitizers.

I use WD40

On glass bottles I scrape off as much of the label as possible, then a wipe with White Spirit removes the rest. So much quicker than the ways she recommends

I’ve always just soaked my glass jars in hot water and the label comes off easily except for the residue and then I use WD-40. I never heard the tip on the plastic or the labels on refrigerator jars. Those have been the ones I’ve had trouble with. Thank so much for your videos.

Excellent video. Very useful. Thank you. Just two points: ONE: After the baking soda/ oil treatment, just use a plastic wool utensil scrubber to rub the residue off instead of using your hand and nails. It would be a lot easier. TWO: Alcohol reacts chemically with plastic. So if you use it to remove some black imprinting on a plastic bottle, the imprint will go but the alcohol will make that area misty (not clear see-through) permanently. With glass, everything will be fine, as shown in the video.

Stop wasting so much water and use a hair dryer on low heat.
