I took a specific example here. A gear is monitored on the encoder shaft, so when the encoder makes one revolution and the gear makes one revolution, that is a path of 141mm. The circumference of the gear is 3.14*R, the R-diameter of the gear, so the larger the R, the larger the circumference of the gear. In my example, the diameter was such that when the circumference is calculated, I get 141mm. There will be a different scope for some other gear

The value obtained from the TC module to which the thermocouple probe is connected for temperature measurement is multiplied by 10. So, if the actual temperature is 25 degrees Celsius, you will see 250 degrees Celsius in the PLC program. Therefore, this value is divided by 10 to get the actual temperature value. Because in the TC module, automatic scaling of the temperature value is performed, but only increased 10 times, and therefore it must be divided by 10

@@loicnzundja656 The IP address on the PLC and the ethernet cable should be in the same subnet, eg 192.168.0.x. x can be for PLC 1 and for ethernet cable 10. TIA Portal should automatically assign the appropriate IP address for ethernet, but if you have a problem, add it manually. Manually assign an IP address to the network adapter

Cant get this to work !! Any advise ? when I use "Count" my ID1000 is showing 010101. If I change to "Frequenzy" it show nothing. So what you do here dont work for some reason, I dont get the number you have when you spin it around, I only get 01010101

Check if the HMI and computer have the same subnet, for example 192.168.0.x, then check if the same HMI as the actual HMI is selected in the program (TIA Portal). The signs must be the same as these Siemens markings, for example 6AV6 647-0AK11... Check the ethernet cable

It's 3:41 minutes into the video. LADDER=256, it is the starting address of the telegram used by this encoder. This telegram uses 4 bytes, which means that the position of the encoder will be recorded at the address from 256 to 259

I am proud to be Bosnian, I wrote Croatian-Bosnian because there is no Bosnian language in TIA Portal, but there is Croatian language. And the Croatian and Bosnian languages are very similar. Proud Bosnian...

Excellent video but slight error. The number entered at LADDR is the hardware address as found in the "System Constants" and not the physical address of the inputs. Your video at the end shows a decimal number which converts to Hex 8090 this has to be at 0 for correct operation. Thanks for the video though it was very useful. Hope this helps anybody else who uses it.
