I have travelled on Waverley many times and have a very soft spot for this wonderful little ship. We have a very special connection too….as Waverley and I were both ‘launched’ on the same day on October 2nd 1946! My last trip on her was from Bournemouth and around the Isle of Wight but the weather was too tough for her to return to Bournemouth Pier and we had to endure a crowded coach trip back home instead! She’s a friendly little ship and the crews are very good to the passengers …long may she paddle! Rob in Bournemouth.
