The only downside I can see, is you can't leave your tent at the site and use the car for exploring. Otherwise they look like a great thing.

I've still got, and use, an original Aspira smock from 2008. Good as new still, no need for an expensive replacement. The 360 idea is a good one but hellish expensive for most people.

The original Powershield Pro would be a banger on a super water resistant polyester hard shell. Especially if it had a killer DWR like the Kudos that’s 80 at 100. Too bad they only ever used it with a soft shell. Neoshell is just a heavier duty version of the same membrane*

I have this bag and i really dislike it. The volume is in an unusable geometry. The air zone curve makes any rigid object water volume. Additionally the curved volume makes items in three bottom unreachable without unpacking. 2/10

It's only a 2-layer waterproof system. So it might be worth looking for a 3-layer jacket if you want a bit more durability and longevity. It's still a good jacket for the price though!

It's my understanding that even Nikwax doesn't recommend "TX Direct Wash-In" for the Keb Eco Shell (which I believe is your jacket in this vid) because the Keb has a wicking layer. I think Nikwax suggests the "TX Direct Spray-On" for Hardshells like the Keb. Can you clarify?

@@OutdoorsMagicTV I received this info from Nikwax in an email response: "Nikwax recommends the use of Spray-On over Wash-In if the garment has an intentional moisture-wicking liner that is designed to transport sweat away ..." which the Keb Eco Shell has such a liner. But here's the thing -- you did this test with Wash-In and made the water bead and roll off. Was this, in fact, a Keb Eco Shell Jacket with a wicking layer? Do you stand by this test? Is the water-proofing holding up? What is your opinion now after using the Wash-In? In spite of what Nikwax says (above) do you still recommend the Wash-In process/product as you performed in this video? Will you use Wash-In next time? There are so many products and suggestions out there that it becomes confusing. I really appreciate your effort in making this vid. I would rather use Wash-In because spraying is a bloody mess. But please clarify if you still recommend "Wash-In TX Direct" for the Keb Eco Shell jacket. Thx ...David

If just over a baselayer, it'll be a bit stretched below 5 degrees C. Great for three-season use but needs to be part of a layering system between late autumn and early spring. Will

Hi great honest video few questions 1) how you manage when have rain over night and you need to pack and the tent still wet ? If you close it wet will cause water go inside the tent . 2) you think will be good for a travelling trip to the alps , we planning to stay in different places no longer than 2 nights for two weeks trip from the uk. In the period I used this, the tent stayed very dry over night due to the amount of ventilation. Tentbox say that you can pick it up while still wet but you shouldn't leave it for more than 24 hours without opening it to let it dry out. If using it for an Alps and you want to stay in places longer than 2 nights, just remember you'll have to pack it up every time you want to leave. It's still pretty quick but it means you have to pack up sleeping bags etc. With a ground tent, at least you can leave everything at the campsite. You might find something like the Thule Outset useful. Take a look! Will
