No please but you can easily get one to buy online. Try jiji or tonaton but pls have them deliver before you make any payment. Or better still see the cage assess it before you make payment. Getting a welder to make one for you is also an option if only the welder knows what he is doing

Deep litter is more humane and healthier for the consuming public. This is more important than any other reason

The truth is even deep litter is not humane if we have to be Frank. What qualifies as humane is leaving birds in their natural environment. Like domestic birds.

What is your egg production rate in cage system? In deep litter 87-90% is realistic. Is it higher in cage system?

Yes it is but it is also bases on the type of breed of bird as well. But all things being equal for every 70 birds I make 60 eggs per day. Someday a little less sometimes a little more but averagely 60 eggs per day for 70 birds.

I would love to try a deep litter someday but for now I have a small space so a battery is the best option for now.

So there are three stages of a layer bird which is starter stage, grower stage and layer stage. A starter feed in the form of pallet is given the pallet are compressed feed which contains high nutrition to enhance proper formation of the bird. The next phase which is the grower stage feed is provided to enhance growth as the name suggest in preparation towards laying. And the final stage which is the layer stage, a layer feed is provided. 1. Magic starter 2. Grower mash 3. Developer 4. Pre layer mash 5. Layer 1 6. I have not been able to decisively decide the kind of system I should use but you made me to , do you use the same water system for medication ?

if I am giving dewormer or any other medication, I use the same water system because it is not time bound however if I am giving a vaccine I use drinkers because after two hours the vaccines would not work anymore so finding a way for all the birds to drink quickly is paramount.
