Another possibility for a young lady to have tea with you on the street is that she wants to know you and maybe date with you. It happens more in Shanghai or other big cities. Don’t get scared!

Fished there in the 70s. great fishing , and water sports. At that time the ranchers in the valley were leaching their fields to get more farm land. That was the end of the sea. All they would need to do is run a couple large pipes from the Sea Of Cortez and they would have all the fresh saltwater they would need. It would come back beter than it was. But that will never happen because of all the money guys mining the south end of the sea. To hell with us little guys. The need to make their money and then leave it worst than it is now.

Such a shame! I’d love to see the area revived and restored to its former beauty. It’s sad how decisions made for profit can have such lasting impacts on places like this. Hopefully, someday, there’ll be a chance for positive change!

Portland is great! Lived here for 35 years. Are there issues? F yeh there are but it is not as bad as the ten thousand hit piece videos make it out to be. It is fairly expensive but if you compare it to the other big west coast cities , like Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles it’s not too bad. We do need a LOT more housing units put up to fight homelessness and just the general high price of housing here. Like most big cities we have issues but the city is great the people are very friendly etc etc

I am a Chinese. The kind of scam you mentioned does exist in China, but not many, and it is aimed at Chinese people. As for that lady, in my opinion, she may just like foreigners, so she accosted you.
If this is your FIRST time in Shanghai, and a female asked you for a drink. You ASSUMED she tried to scam you, rather than she wanted to know you because you are an foreigner. You might be right, but if you were wrong, you could ruin her. Asians are pretty important with reputation.

American taxpayers just added another 500M to their bill to be spent on anti China propaganda it’s in the America (can’t) compete Act - where less than 1% of Americans would look we can’t let citizens in neoliberal countries find out the truth about China 🇨🇳 or they might turn on the ruling class who loves things as they are there’s no doubt the west is insanely stupid about China but only because they view it through the lens of the US empire & its vassals who spent a century battling socialism communism & neutral Govt’s ensuring the suffering of everyone everywhere China is the only leftist country who they forgot to regime change - we were too busy waging losing wars killing millions & collapsing the global economy (except China’s who saved the US) - they were busy making up for lost time - don’t forget the British & Americans addicted their country to opium & China lost a century They are 5K years ancient & the US is 250 - China had the largest economy for almost a millennium- they never tried to own the world like Europeans & Americans they’ve always loved business & to this day are the best at it in the world

Great! There have been a growing number of western vloggers going to China and exposing the fake narrative of Mainstream media. This has also increased viewership as many as curious to what's really happening there, including the locals and their daily lives. It's also interesting to see videos in known cities (Shenzen and Beijing) and introduce other cities too like Xian, Xining, Guangzhou, Chongqing, Lanzhou etc.).
