It turned out to be a 🐈 👁️.. lol. Blunt heads have been the most common snake recently.

Yeah sure it is 😑. Just like how it is a "rough green snake" (literally not even a species of snake). And just like how it oh so realistically doesnt even move one bit after it slithers up 😂. Snakes literally don't even move that way@@OchoVerde

What a great opportunity and such an amazing specimen. Elegant one might say. That poor drab tree frog looked pretty undrab to me. Great view to highlight how hard it is to see those 6:40. 10:05 😅

I’m pretty sure these guides have seen more of these Black-Headed Bushmasters than anyone on earth. This was by far the easiest hike to see one. It’s such a great project in that it helps the local community and protects those regal snakes. I’m still in training to find one on our property. One day… one day

I didn't know that there was a black head bushmaster and I discovered it is a sub-specie. Here in Brazil (not in my state) we have Lachesis muta, the largest bushmaster in America....
@OchoVerde10 күн бұрын
There are two different Bushmaster species in Costa Rica! I show all the species of Bushmaster at 1:33. (Lachesis muta) is the very lady one. One day I will travel to Brazil to Lachesis muta, and a Jaguar! 🐆

One of my absolute all-time favourites in the world of reptiles! Saw my first living specimen in a specialized pet store over here in Germany. It was a huge Lachesis, imported from Costa Rica. But please note, that it was in the 80s, so maybe regulations etc were kinda different! Seeing one in the wild still is on top of my to-do-list! Thanks a lot, Frank, for sharing this with us!
@OchoVerde11 күн бұрын
Oh man. You would love it. It is on the road to Drake Bay. Of the three that I have seen in the wild, this one was the shortest and easiest hike… only about 20 minutes. A young one was spotted over here in Golfito a few years back, but we could not find another one.
@dirkswildworld11 күн бұрын
@OchoVerde as we will be in that area during our November trip, we will surely consider a visit there! Having a bushmaster on film would be a dream coming true!
