Fuzzy bass is one of the most brilliant musical devices to come out of the last 50 years when you stop to think about it. In a rock setting, it glues the guitars to the kick drum…in a metal setting, it adds weight to the mid range and makes the guitars sound bigger…in ANY context, it helps bass translate on smaller speakers…and of course BFF used it to completely bypass the need for guitars in the first place. It’s just endlessly useful if you’re willing to explore the entire gain spectrum.

This so is so beautiful and this live version is even better than the record version imo. So much emotion and turmoil in the chords and melodies. A hidden gem of a song for sure

This song gives me the same vibe today in 2023 as when I heard the studio version on a Sydney radio station in 1995. I realise now how amazing they were as a three piece. The bass player and his distortion pedal were the magical bridge between what was accepted and what was possible for a trio like this. What fantastic musicians. What great positive energy.

Man, never thought it was a bass what made all that feedback! I thought was a hollow body guitar... How did he got this feedback? Does it have a sustainer pickup?
