Not so perfect. Currently there are more monitors with same/similar 28" panels which have better software and better 100x100 vesa standard. Years ago it was the best option. Today I'd buy another one.

@@klukiyan I just picked up a different one yesterday actually. The Samsung S80A. It was on sale at the shop. 4k, IPS, with Usb-C connectivity. Also had height, rotation, tilt adjustable stand. Vesa mount isn't shit either. Glad with this purchase.

for eye is better not to look at monitors but go outside and look at the nature :)

How to do it?

@@klukiyan look up the program "Custom Resolution" by ToastyX I usually set the timing to "Exact Reduced" with 4k resolution and 68hz which was the max that still worked for me on 2 different units

@@deadlymassacre1 you have to test it for frame skipping though as that overclock might be unstable and make things even worse. UFO test has an option for that.

I use 2 4k monitors at home, and just one 4k monitor at work in the office. While the second monitor brings usefulness, i don't miss it that much in the office. I'm a software developer. So most of the time I have split screen. In the left i have 2 windows if vs code and in the right the chrome with dev console open. Other apps like excels, db manager, outlook i keep on the second screen or alt tab of at work. So I'd say that 1 4k monitor is almost enough to work with 4 windows without rotating head too much

Hi. The review is quite old. And there are now more options with the same 28" IPS panel that Samsung has from Asus, Acer and Phillips. If I was buying again today, I would go for Phillips for better vesa mount holes. The screen is the same though

Good catch 👍🏻. I really liked how that wallpaper looks like and searched for it on purpose (high quality with day and night mode). But i don't like macos as OS. So i took only what i liked 😊

I have this monitor. No built-in speakers. But, it has a headphone output.

It didn't. And longer screws wouldn't hold it. The metal used in monitors holes is very soft and easy to break if tightened too much

In theory maybe. In practice LG has distorted colors. White is pinky and red appears as orange. I made the comparison looking at real monitors with real eyes. It doesn't help that on paper LG is written as later panel.

@@klukiyan I have bought same LG and Samsung monitors and tested with side to side..with KZbin 4K and HD sample videos LG produce much well balanced smooth colours closely to natur..but samsung has bright colours it's true but not natural sometimes not well balanced , aggressive colours, fine detailing missing.. detailing is very important quality of the picture

@@jacomputermobilephonerepai3243 Reading your replies here! I just bought one of these Samsung ur55 monitors, myself, and out of the box, it looks like crap! In SDR mode, that is. It is so jarring and bright (in a bad way, because it's looks like every thing is clipping!). If I activate the HDR mode, the image is better, but now, colors are washed out, and it doesn't appear that I can apply an ICC color profile. Would calibrating this monitor, in SDR mode, makes things better? As is, in SDR mode, out of the box, the blacks are compressed, because on a scale of 1-255, it's only at about 13, that gray can be appreciated. HDR fixes this, but at the expense of washed out colors.

Yes. Add long as you have them next to each other. If you have just one of them, you wouldn't notice without special device.

You'll be happy with your monitor too. I was too picky simply because I could. But overall, there is not such a huge difference. LG has annoying brightness adjustment controller. But that also is not a very big problem. You'll be happy with the 4k quality anyway with any IPS 4k monitor. The adjustable stand + freesync will make it even better. So don't worry too much. Believe me, you'll love the LG monitor too.

Все выглядит о%уенно красиво. Все буковки и фигуры везде гладенькие четкие четкие. Ну и потом если например кодишь. Пол экрана редактор кода, пол экрана браузер. Так вот браузер можно сделать на 80%, все станет мелким, но четкость не потеряется и масштабы будут как у большинства клиентов полноценны й фулл хд

@@bonskii Я до него пробовал работать на дорогом игровом 2к мониторе 100% scaling, 165hz обновление. Вроде по "полезному" масштабу столько же как и 4к 150%. Но по виду, выглядит как пикселированое фуфло рядом с 4к. На 4к можно любоваться каждой буковкой и каждой фигуркой. Все такое четкое и красивое.
