One more question 😂 Would the use of the trailers have been possible in both directions of the pass?
@MW-fh8xhАй бұрын
Awesome! As I am using an offroad trailer as well (for dogs) i am very much interested, what the weight of the trailers was on that trip

Its a marvellous place and if you go out of season its quieter, the pass past the campsite is quite a challenge though drivable with out 4x 4 as well.All in all a top hole spot.

Top job. Loved the easy vibe of your video... well done. It's an area I have been wanting to take the family to for some time. We are fortunate to have so many beautiful non commercial places to visit in SA. It's on my bucket list of places still to visit...albeit a long list Thanks for sharing

Glad KZbin recommended you to me. Thanks for this video. 1. One of my favorite places to visit. Always wild camped in in the heritage section. Never been to any of the formal camps. So some proper FOMO now 🙈 2. Love all there vehicles! I have a Landcruiser, I had a Fortuner and I secretly have a love affair with Jimnys. 3. Great to see a Roof Pod on the Jimny 👌. Good friends of mine Simon & Tammy 🤙 Need now find time to watch your Nam trip and others. SUBSCRIBED 🤙 PS are you on Instagram Oh and where did you get your wheel carry platform?

We were there 30 yrs ago, for the first time. Camping was very different then. De hoop camping was free, nobody knew about it those days. Cooler box, no Engle fridge, one spare tire, top and bottom hoses, no cellphone either. Closest petrol station was Port Nolloth, or Springbok. Kubu island was the same those years, free and no charge.

Thanks. Beautiful area. I once camped informally on the Namibian side quite close to De Hoop. Just rolled my mattress and sleeping bag out next to the car.

One of the BEST areas to visit in a 4X4! Nice video, and great to see family and friends enjoying the amazing scenery. It is a pity that you spoiled your video with music which is irrelevant and annoying, boet. I always prefer the sound of tyres rumbling, crumbling and crunching the hard ground and the sound of a good engine in videos such as yours. Well done, anyway!
@SimpleLifeOverland8 ай бұрын
Thanks John. Happy to respect your views regarding music in our videos. We don't mind criticism as we have no intention to be Voetspore or the likes. Maybe 10 years from now we'll have mastered the art of balancing video, voice, and music.

Amazing family time!! 🥹 Those words from your dad at camp has hit so hard! I’m on my way back to SA, I’ve been living in UK for 21 years and I’m now 42. Home is calling me back after such a long time and the idea of spending all that time with ma en ded again is going to be amazing. I am going to put a rig together and travel through SA and your videos are providing much inspiration. Al die beste chomma, bring nog videos. ❤️ world champs 😜 🇿🇦
