Love die videos. Meer inligting/ running commentary sal waardeer word. Jul ken die wereld, so deel inligting met mense wat nog nooit daar was nie en meer inligting benodig. Awesome content. Keep it up guys.

@@SimpleLifeOverland Cool, looking forward to the next video. What fuel consumption can I expect on a Land Cruiser 4.5 EFi petrol on such a trip towing off road trailer??

Yet another fab video, thanks a mill. What stunning scenery, a must do tip.The series of videos has really got me longing for a trip to Nam. Thank you indeed for all the work behind the scene to make this available to the public to tour with you guys in a way. Also to take the time to film whilst on holiday.

Awesome series!! Please do something like this again, I loved every minute of it. The Richtersveld is one of the first places on the list for me and my new to me Jimny, but I really want to do Namibia in the not to far away future as well.

Hey Erick! Yes, we are hoping to do a Botswana trip in 2022. We would have done it 2019 but Covid messed up all of our plans. Let's hope 2022 is better.

Thanks for some great footage, hope to get back there sometime. The Richtersveld is an awesome place. Check out Fred Cornells's book "The Glamour of Prospecting". Apparently he got run over by a London bus. Who would have thought?

I own a Land Cruiser 4500 efi double cab. What fuel consumption can I expect on such a trip while towing? What fuel range do you need between petrol stops? Unleaded petrol readily available??
@SimpleLifeOverland4 жыл бұрын
Hi Riaan. Sorry for the late reply. I think your fuel consumption will vary depending on the routes you choose. Most of our routes are off-road, requiring low-range. If that is your preference too, then budget for 3 to 5 km per litre. In riverbeds, the LC76 was doing 2-3 km/l. Patrol also similar in fuel consumption. Not great but worth every litre. I would say that you need a 1,000km range but that only applies is real remote areas. We only had 1 route up north where we had to fill everything possible. You can get diesel and unleaded petrol in small villages/towns. I can't speak for all villages though. Best advise is to always fill up when you can, even if you don't need to.
